I'm a Behemoth anime is set to premiere in 2025, as confirmed by the official staff on Thursday, July 4, 2024, via a teaser promotional video. Along with this announcement, the anime's official team unveiled a new key visual and revealed the names of more cast members and the main staff.
I'm a Behemoth anime serves as an adaptation of Nozomi Ginyoku's light novel series, fully titled I'm a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl's Pet. Micro Magazine has been serializing the novels with Mitsuki Yano's illustrations since 2018. The novels have also inspired a manga, with Taro Shinonome's illustrations.
I'm a Behemoth anime's teaser PV confirms the 2025 release window
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, the official website and X handle for the I'm a Behemoth anime shared a new promotional video to confirm that the anime will be released in 2025. The short clip features Aria and Tama, the main characters from the series, and highlights the intriguing plot.
According to the PV, the anime centers around Tama, a former knight, who has been reincarnated as an S-rank monster, Behemoth, but with the appearance of a kitten. He meets Aria, a rookie elven adventurer, and swears to become her knight and protect her.
Besides the trailer, the official staff has unveiled a key visual for the I'm a Behemoth anime. The illustration depicts Tama and Aria, with two new characters, Vulcan and Stella.
Details regarding the characters and their voice actors have also arrived. Tomori Kusunoki stars as Vulcan, the blacksmith of the Tiger Ear tribe, who has a weapon shop called the Vulcans in the Labyrinth City of Ryuin. Hitomi Ueda joins her as the voice actor for Stella, a girl who befriends Tama and Aria during their adventures.
These new voice actors have joined the previously announced cast members, who are Tasuku Hatanaka as Tama and Hinaki Yano as Aria. Riho Sugiyama is also enlisted as the voice actor of Tama in cat form.
Comments from the voice actors have arrived on the anime's site, where they expressed their thoughts regarding the characters they are playing. Hitomi-san interprets Stella as a straightforward girl about what she likes and wants to do, while Tomori-san thinks Vulcan is an exciting and reliable character.
Tetsuo Hirakawa directs the isekai anime at Zero-G Studios and Saber Works, with Kanichi Kato supervising the series scripts. Tomoyuki Abe has also joined the staff as the character designer and chief animation director.
