On Monday, June 24, 2024, Aniplex streamed a special video to announce the production of the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class anime. The official staff has opened a new website and X handle to share a teaser visual, and the details regarding the main cast.

I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous romance light novel series, written by Seiju Amano and illustrated by Nanami Nurumi. Media Factory has been serializing the light novels, with eight volumes published thus far. The light novel has also inspired a manga adaptation, with Mosukonbu's illustrations.

The official YouTube channel of Aniplex streamed a special announcement video on Monday, June 24, 2024, to announce that Seiju Amano and Nanami Nurumi's rom-com light novel series, I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class (Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon Suru Koto ni Natta) is inspiring a television animation.

The short clip features the visual of Akane Sakuramoi, clad in a wedding gown, holding a flower bouquet. She sticks out her tongue and winks at the screen in a playful fashion. In a typical tsundere fashion, she says a phrase in Japanese, which reads as follows, when translated into English:

"I hate it so much about you."

Following the video announcement, the official staff opened a website and X (formerly Twitter) account for the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class anime, to reveal further information about the series.

It has been decided that Hinaki Yano, known for voicing Momoe Sawaki from the Wonder Egg Priority would voice the main heroine, Akane Sakuramoi in the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class anime. The short video posted by Aniplex previews her voice for Akane.

Interestingly, the anime's website and X account shared a hand-written note by Hinaki Yano-san, where she revealed that, even though inexperienced, she would try her best to make Akane's life shine.

Additionally, a hand-written comment from Seiju Amano has arrived on the website and X account, where the author expressed their gratitude to fans, for supporting them throughout their journey. Seiju-san is delighted that their series is being made into a TV anime.

However, besides the visual, teaser PV, and the main cast, no information about the rom-com anime's release date, staff, production studio, etc, are revealed as of this writing. As such, fans would have to wait for further updates from the anime's official staff.


About the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class series

The narrative of I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate In My Class anime centers around Saito Hojo, who marries his classmate, Akane Sakuramoi. However, Akane happens to be his worst enemy at school. She threatens Hojo that if he tells the rest of the class about their marriage, she will kill him.

At the same time, Saito Hojo doesn't want to let his friends find out about their marriage because there's no benefit to him. As a newlywed couple, Hojo and Sakuramoi constantly bicker at each other. However, gradually the distance between them closes, and love blossoms for them.
