On November 27, 2024, Aniplex, a Japanese production company, released a promotional trailer for the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class anime. The promotional video previewed the I'm Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class anime. The video commenced with the male protagonist, Saito Houjou, walking through the school, which was followed by the introduction of the female protagonist, Akane Sakuramori.
The video then revealed some additional footage from the anime and also introduced the supporting cast. The video ended with the reveal of the series' release date, January 3, 2025. The anime is a rom-com series centered around a high-school boy named Saito Houjou, a prodigy student of his class. Every day, he strives to reach the top through his exceptional talent in studying. However, the one obstacle in his path is Sakuremori Akane, another prodigy and Houjou's rival.
Every day, these two go against each other and it becomes obvious that they don't get along. However, one day, their parents announce their marriage and now, as newlyweds, these two have to keep their act together. Will marriage change anything from the relationship of the protagonists?
