On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the official staff unveiled the main visual and January 5, 2025, release date for I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? anime. Along with this announcement, the staff revealed the names of the additional cast members for the series.
Produced by Quad Studios, I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? anime is based on storyboarder Yakitomato and illustrator Kotatsu's Japanese web manga series of the same name. ASCII Media Works has been serializing the manga in print version since August 2021.
I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? anime to debut on January 5, 2025
On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the official website and X account for I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? anime unveiled the main visual and announced that the series would premiere on January 5, 2025.
The broadcast details have also arrived, according to which, I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? anime will begin airing on Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, and KBS Kiyoto every Sunday from 1.30 am JST, starting January 5, 2025 (stylized as 25:30 JST, January 4, 2025).
The main visual features the main heroine, Shizuri Ideura, Tsukasa Atsumi, and other important characters gathered in the outer corridor of an apartment. Interestingly, the visual has a tagline in Japanese, which translates to "Gathering, eccentrics" in English.
At the same time, details regarding the additional cast have been announced. Sho Nogami has joined the voice cast as Toru Nakayama, while Manatsu Murakami voices Himari Asakura.
They are joined by Yui Horie, who lends her voice to Saya Hazuki. Comments from the new voice actors have arrived on the anime's official site, where they expressed their excitement.
The rom-com anime stars Hinaki Yano as Shizuri Ideura, Fairouz Ali as Ayame Momochi, Shoya Ishige as Tsukasa Atsumi, and Hina Kino as Kanae Natsumi. Shigeru Chiba is credited as the series' narrator.
Staff and the plot of I'm Living With an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!?
Hisashi Saito, noted for his contributions to Bamboo Blade and other anime, directs the series at Quad Studios, with Takashi Aoshima as the script supervisor. Masahiko Suzuki is listed as the character designer, while CMJK composes the music for the series.
Based on Yakitomato and Kotatsu's Japanese manga, the anime follows Tsukasa, an ordinary salaryman. One night, he is suddenly attacked by a demon, Youma. However, he is soon saved by a gallant Kunoichi named Shizuri.
During their interactions, Tsukasa realizes that when Shizuri isn't working a Kunoichi, she's a lazy Otaku NEET. Eventually, Shizuri and Tsukasa end up living together, with the salaryman using his skills to pamper the young Kunoichi while she continues to serve him as his bodyguard.
