I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime confirms Winter 2025 premiere and main cast with PV

The official website and X handle for the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime shared a teaser promotional video on Thursday, June 27, 2024, announcing that the show will premiere in January 2025, i.e., in Winter 2025. Additionally, the short video revealed the main cast of the series.

Fully titled I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic, the anime serves as an adaptation of the original fantasy light novel series, written by Nazuna Miki, and illustrated by Kabocha.

TO Books has been publishing the novels since February 2020, with eight volumes released thus far. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation as well, with Rio Akisaki's illustrations.

As mentioned earlier, the official staff for the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime streamed a teaser promotional video on Thursday, June 27, 2024. According to the short PV, the fantasy anime is all set to release in the January 2025 or Winter 2025 session and stream on Anime Hodai and U-NEXT services in Japan.

The latest promotional clip features the protagonist, Liam Hamilton, a lowly peasant, who one day wakes up as the youngest son of a noble family. Interestingly, the short video shows how Liam makes sense of the situation and enjoys his new life to the fullest.

Aside from the PV, the official staff behind the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime shared the names of the main cast members. Ayumu Murase features in the series as Liam Hamilton, the fifth son of the noble Hamilton family. Tomokazu Sugita also joined the voice cast as Radon, a demon dragon, which was sealed away by Liam's ancestors.

Saori Hayami, the renowned voice actor, voices Jodi, described as a veteran hunter and a member of Liam Hamilton's party. Haruka Tomatsu plays Asuna's role, a young girl from the Hunters Guild, who also joins Liam's party. More cast members for the series will likely be revealed in the future.

Comments from the voice actors have arrived on the official site and X account for the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime, where they revealed their excitement to be part of the anime project. Moreover, fans can hear their voices as the respective characters in the latest PV.

Kenichi Ishikura, known for his contributions to the Ongaku Shojo anime, directs the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime at Studio DEEN and Marvy Jack Studios. Tatsuya Takahashi is in charge of the scripts, while Arisa Okehazama is listed as the music composer. Midori Otsuka has joined the staff as the character designer.

Based on Nazuna Miki's light novels, the I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin anime follows a middle-aged commoner, who wakes up in the body of Liam Hamilton, the youngest son of the Hamilton noble family, on the verge of collapse.

While he has no idea how he ended up in Liam's body, the commoner knows that he can pounce on this opportunity to learn various magic spells like he always wanted. Interestingly, he finds out that he has a natural affinity for magic, which turns his life upside-down.
