Saturday, January 4, 2025 saw the official website for the I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years season 2 anime officially reveal the sequel’s release date of Saturday, April 5, 2025. This information was confirmed alongside the release of the second full promotional video for the series, and a new key visual for the second season as well.

In addition, the new promotional video for I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years season 2 also reveals and previews the opening theme song, and reveals the ending theme song information. The upcoming series will serve as a direct sequel to the 2021 series of the same name, fully titled I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level.

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years season 2 will premiere on Japanese television on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 9:30 PM Japanese Standard Time (JST). The series will first air on the AT-X channel at this time, before airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 10 PM JST on the same day. In terms of domestic streaming availability, the usual suspects such as the d Anime Store, Amazon Prime Video, ABEMA, and more. International streaming info is currently unconfirmed.

The anime’s opening theme song, which is previewed in the new trailer, is “So⭐️Lucky” by Yui Ogura. The ending theme song, which is only revealed in the trailer rather than previewed, is titled “Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe” by Aguri Onishi. In addition to revealing this theme song information, the latest promotional video also focuses on the series’ central characters and setting up the plot for the second season.

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years season 2 will feature a returning main cast, but will see some shake ups in terms of staff. Likely the most significant are Kunihisa Sugishima replacing Nobukage Kimura as the director, and animation studio Teddy replacing Revoroot in series production.

Additional changes include Naohiro Fukushima, an episode script writer from season 1, replacing Tatsuya Takahashi as supervising the new season’s series scripts. Hikaru Kodama is also replacing Keisuke Goto as the character designer for the series. Keiji Inai is one of the few staff members returning to their exact position, composing the music for the second season at Nippon Columbia once again.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of the television anime series as it aired weekly in Japan in 2021. Crunchyroll also streamed an English dub for the series. The anime adapts author Kisetsu Morita and illustrator Benio’s original light novel series of the same name, itself an adaptation of Morita’s original web novel series. The light novels have been ongoing since January 2017, while the web novel ran from June 2016 to November 2021.
