On Wednesday, May 29, the website of I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime unveiled the series' 2025 release window. Additionally, the anime unveiled teaser visuals and voice cast members for the anime's two main characters - Leticia and Clarke.

I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons was originally a romantic comedy light novel series written by Izumi Sawano. The series debuted in August 2018 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. The light novel was later given a manga adaptation by Uri Sugata on the manga site Comic PASH! in March 2020.

I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime is set to be released in 2025. Hence, the anime's newly launched website released the teaser visuals for the anime's main characters - Duchess Leticia Dorman and Crown Prince Clarke.

Leticia can be seen sitting in a garden amidst flowers in a dress, while Clarke can be seen carrying a bouquet of roses in royal attire. Along with these visuals, the manga adaptation's creator Uri Sugata also drew a commemorative illustration featuring the two characters.

Besides the various visuals unveiled by the anime and manga creator, the I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime also announced the voice cast members for Leticia and Clarke.

Leticia will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi. She has previously voiced Asirpa in Golden Kamuy, Kirie Motoba in Himouto! Umaru-chan and Tae Ōto in Wonder Egg Priority.

Clarke will be voiced by Jun Fukuyama. He has previously voiced Finral Roulacase in Black Clover, Ango Sakaguchi in Bungo Stray Dogs, King in The Seven Deadly Sins and Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

As for the staff members, Shinobu Tagashira will be directing the anime at EMT Squared. He has previously directed Hunter X Hunter (1999), Junji Ito "Collection", and Diabolik Lovers. He will also be responsible for creating the character designs.

Joining him will be Tomoco Kanemaki. He has previously worked on the story for the Kingdom Hearts series and will be in charge of the scripts for the I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime.


What is I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime about?

Duchess Leticia Dorman gets betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke at age seven. Given that Leticia was a free-spirited child, she was forced to learn the proper etiquette that was expected from a princess.

As Leticia was tired of these lessons, she wished for Clarke to take an interest in someone else. However, Clarke is determined to win over Leticia and marry her.
