Ishura season 2 is set to premiere in January 2025. The anime's official staff confirmed this with a teaser promotional video shared on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Along with this announcement, the staff revealed details regarding the new cast members for the series.

Ishura season 2 serves as the sequel to the previous installment, which aired 12 episodes from January 2024 to March 2024 for a single cour. The series is an adaptation of Keiso (author) and Kureta's (illustrator) dark fantasy light novel series of the same name.

Kadokawa streamed a teaser promotional video for Ishura season 2 on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, to announce the show's January 2025 release window. The anime's official website and X account shared the PV shortly after. However, an exact release date is yet to be disclosed.

The short clip teases the sequel's narrative and highlights important characters who will appear in Ishura season 2. Besides the PV, the official staff has announced three new cast members.

Mariya Ise has joined the voice cast as Kuro no Kaishin, a leprechaun, who worked for the Obsidian Eyes as an assassin. The latest promotional video previews Kuro's character voice.

Rikiya Koyama lends his voice to Mele no Chiheihou, a giant archer, who lives on the outskirts of Riverstead to protect its guardian deity. Lastly, Miko Ito voices Kyunee no Mayoi, a winged homunculus and an accomplice of Kuro.

Comments from the new voice actors have arrived on the anime's official website, where they revealed their first impressions of the characters they are playing.

Aside from the new cast, the official website has revealed that the show's first season will be released on every listed streaming platform, such as d Anime Store, Disney Plus, U-NEXT, Unlimited Anime, Hulu, Lemino, J-Com Stream, Prime Video, DMM TV, and others.

Additionally, the anime's website and X handle have shared a character relationship chart to let fans look back on season 1, as they wait for Ishura season 2.

The dark fantasy anime premiered its first season on January 3, 2024, on Tokyo MX, BS Nippon, KBS Tokyo, and 19 other channels. Disney+ streamed the series worldwide, while Hulu exclusively made the anime available in the US.

The anime starred Yuki Kaji as Sojiro, Jun Fukuyama as Alus, Reina Ueda as Yuno, Romi Park as Taren, Aoi Yuki as Kia, Sora Amamiya as Curte, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Hidow, Shinichiro Miki as Kuze, Yumiri Hanamori as Lana, and others.

Yuki Ogawa directed the first season at Studio Passione, with Takeo Takahashi as the chief director. Kenta Ihara supervised the scripts, while Yuka Takashina, Yuko Yamada, Yoko Kikuchi, and Tatsuya Fukushima designed the characters.

Since the previous installment covered the first volume from Keiso's light novel series, Ishura season 2 will pick the adaptation from the second volume, and cover Ishura II: The Particle Storm in the Realm of Slaughter.
