On July 24, 2024, Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 received its new promotional video posted by Netflix, one of the producers of the show. The preview trailer showcased a sneak peek of the sequel, previewed the theme songs, and the official website unveiled a key visual. The anime sequel will be released on August 15, 2024.

Kengan Ashura is an anime adaptation of Yabako Sandrovich's manga series that reached a climax in August 2018. The manga series entered its sequel series after almost a year, which was titled Kengan Omega. Kengan Ashura season 2 is divided into two parts, and the first part aired in September 2023.

The promotional video for Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 commenced with a focus on Ouma Tokta, the protagonist of the series, talking to Kazuo Yamashita. The trailer shifted to the Annihilation Tournament, featuring different characters fighting against each other.

The trailer previewed the opening theme song while showing the fight between Ouma and an old man who eventually overpowered him. The trailer then saw Kazuo shouting to Ouma about how the former said he would win. The video also showcased Ouma calling out to his opponent and ended with revealing the sequel's release window, August 15, 2024.

The key visual for Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2 featured the main protagonist, Ouma Tokta. The opening theme song of the sequel will be performed by Japanese singer HEY-SMITH, titled Feel My Pain.

The singer also performed the theme song for Tokyo Revengers season 3. The ending theme song, titled NANI?, will be performed by the Japanese singer and rapper Jin Dog. The anime will see all the previous voice castings return for their roles, with the main protagonists Ouma, voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Draken from Tokyo Revengers), and Kazuo, voiced by Cho (Souichiro from Fire Force).

As of this article's publication, no official synopsis has been unveiled for Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2. The prequel ended with Ohma still in the hospital, but as seen from the PV, he would return to the battlefield. Moreover, this season will be the last one from the manga series and will see the end of the Annihilation Tournament.

The story is based on sports, featuring fights where businessmen buy combatants, and these fighting go against each other in hand-to-hand combat. The winner of the match takes all. Ouma Tokto, nicknamed Ashura, enters the battlefield, but due to his mysterious demeanor, no one is aware of what he is capable of. The question stands whether he will be a disappointment or a dark horse capable of beating the big guns.
