Kinema Citrus confirms Goodbye, Lara and Ninja Skooler original anime with PV and visual

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the anime production studio, Kinema Citrus, announced the production of two new original anime projects, Goodbye, Lara, and Ninja Skooler, at the Anime Central convention. These two projects commemorate the esteemed studio's 15th anniversary.

Aside from confirming the production, the studio has also shared the concept trailers or PVs and visuals for the Goodbye, Lara, and Ninja Skooler anime. The directors and other staff members for these two original anime are also announced.

Anime Central's 2024 convention held a special panel for the esteemed anime studio, Kinema Citrus, on Saturday, May 18, 2024. In this event, the studio revealed the production of two original anime projects, titled Goodbye, Lara, and Ninja Skooler, to commemorate its 15th anniversary as a production studio.

Following the announcement, Kinema Citrus opened websites for the two anime projects to share the concept trailers and staff details. The visuals feature the important characters for each series, while the PV gives fans a glimpse into the storyline.

The PV and staff for the Goodbye, Lara anime

The PV for the Goodbye, Lara anime showcases a story similar to Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid, featuring a mermaid, who wants to be loved by a human. Following her death, the mermaid gets reincarnated 200 years later in Japan's Lake Biwa, where she learns to adjust to the human world.

According to Kinema Citrus, Takushi Koide is directing the series, with Shiori Tani as the character designer and animation director. Alfredo Sirica is in charge of the music, with HIromitsu Ijima as the music producer and director.

Muneki Ogasawara has joined the anime's staff as the producer, with Kazuto Izumita as the compositing director of photography. Seiichi Akitake, Hotaru Kawase, Toshiyuki Sato, Hikaru Sato, Asuka Kozato, Jura Takasemaru, and others are listed as the key animators.

Naoki Yoshibe has also joined the staff as the water effect artist, with Yuto Hama, and Mai Yamaguchi as the graphic designers. Shiori Tani and Mon are enlisted as the image board artists. Misao Yamashita is contributing to this fantasy anime as the color key artist, coordinator, and checker.

The PV and staff for the Ninja Skooler anime

Aside from Goodbye, Lara, Kinema Citrus has shared a pilot video and a visual for the original ninja comedy anime, Ninja Skooler. The narrative features ninjas living in a "what-if" Edo period and focuses on their shenanigans.

Interestingly, the PV depicts the movements of the important characters and showcases the fluid animation quality. Director Shunsuke Takarai is at the helm of this anime, while Hami has been enlisted as the character designer.

More staff members for the Ninja Skooler anime have been revealed. Muneki Ogasawara and Satoshi Wada are the animation producers, while Yuka Kuroda, Shunsuke Takarai, and Franziska van Wulfen are the key animators.

Hiroaki Kaguchi is the color key artist, checker, and coordinator for this ninja comedy anime. Haru Yamada is listed as the sound director, with Nanatsukaze in the music department. Toru Noguchi has also joined the staff for the sound effects.
