On Sunday, August 18, 2024, the official website and X handle for the Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime shared the first promotional video and a new visual, announcing that the series will premiere on October 1, 2024. Along with this announcement, the staff announced more cast members and details regarding the theme songs.

Produced by Zero-G, the Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime serves as an adaptation of author Tsukikage and illustrator Chyko's Japanese fantasy light novel series of the same name. The light novels were originally published by Sol Press, but following the company going defunct, J-Novel Club acquired the rights to publish the novels.

The official staff for the Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime streamed the show's first promotional video on Sunday, August 18, 2024, revealing that the series will premiere on October 1, 2024.

The broadcast information for the fantasy series has also been announced. Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime will begin airing its episodes every Tuesday at 11:30 PM JST on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels in Japan, starting October 1, 2024. The series will also be telecast on Sun TV at 1 AM, starting October 2, 2024.

The first trailer for Let This Grieving Soul Retire anime, revealed during the show's latest livestream presentation, features Krai Andrey, Tino Shade, and other important characters. The PV teases Krai's grief and the other characters' charm.

Aside from the PV, a new key visual has been unveiled. The illustration depicts Krai and other characters taking promotional pictures for the anime adaptation. Krai is seen sitting on a chair, with Tino Shade, Liz, and Sitri surrounding him.

Moreover, the official staff revealed that the show's opening theme, Katto Tomorrow, is performed by Lezel, while the ending theme, Scream!, is sung by P-Maru-Sama. Comments from the theme song artists have arrived on the anime's official site, where they expressed their delight in performing the songs.

New cast members have been announced as well. Yo Taichi stars as Eva Renfield, the vice clan master of the imperial capital's strongest clan, First Step. Akira Sekine joins Yo-san as the voice actor of Rhuda Runebeck, a member of a suspicious party. Other voice actors include Koji Seki as Greg Zangief and Seiji Maeda as Gilbert Bush.

The anime stars Miyu Kubota as Tino Shade, Kensho Ono as Krai Andrey, Tomokazu Sugita as the narrator and Ansem, Kohei Amasaki as Luke, Aoi Koga as Lucia, Konomi Kohara as Sitri, Ai Fairoz as Liz, and others.

Masahiro Takata directs the anime at Zero-G Studios, with Hideki Shirane supervising the scripts. Masahiro Takata is also credited as the sound director. Saber Links is in charge of the sound production. Yosuke Isochi is enlisted as the character designer, while Ryohei Fujisaki has joined the staff as the music composer.

Based on Tsukikage's fantasy light novel, Let This Grieving Soul Retire, the anime follows Krai Andrey, who wants to retire as a hunter because he has lost interest in that role.
