On September 22, 2024, the live-action of Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters Per Second anime film was confirmed to air in the Fall Season of 2025 through an officially registered website. Spoon Production Company will be producing the live-action film, and Hokuto Matsumura will be starring in the live-action film as Takaki Toono.
