On August 17, 2024, the film Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack was announced. The compilation film will combine the two parts of the finale season of the Attack on Titan series. Scheduled to air on November 8, 2024, the film will be 145 minutes long and feature better visuals and sound quality to fit the ambiance of the cinema.
Attack on Titan is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The manga serialization started in September 2009 and ended in 2021, with all its chapters compiled into 34 volumes. The manga series has various anime adaptations from two animation studios, which include four seasons and one finale special season.

Some of these scenes included Eren's 'freedom' scene, the marching of the Rumbling, and Mikasa's goodbye to Eren as she tied her scarf and rushed towards the Doomsday Titan, Eren's Founding Titan, to behead his childhood friend.
The preview trailer concluded with the film Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack's release date, November 8, 2024, and showcased one of the final scenes from the series, where Armin bids his best friend a final farewell.
The film will be 145 minutes long with polished visuals, as compared to the finale season, and a 5.1 surround system that uses different channels to create a better sound. All of this was done to create a proper setting for the cinema airing of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack.
The ending song of the second episode of the FINAL CHAPTERS special, titled Nisennen.. Moshiku wa.. Nimannengo no Kimi e, performed by Linked Horizon, will be used as the film's theme song. Linked Horizon is a Japanese band known for singing the majority of Attack on Titan's theme songs, like the first season's Guren no Yumiya and the third season's Red Swan.
A word from the director on the compilation film
Yuuichirou Hayashi, one of the most influential directors of Attack on Titan, shared his views on why Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack became a reality. The director explained that the FINAL CHAPTERS special was designed to be a single film from its early days. However, this wasn't possible due to unknown reasons.
Hayashi stated that he wanted the audience to experience 'Rumbling' in its best form, and that could only be possible through a cinema airing, which was the reason why this project was announced in the first place. The key staff members from the previous season will be returning to compose this Attack on Titan compilation film.
A brief synopsis of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack
The film would commence with the most haunting sight of the Rumbling, which started at the end of the prequel, Attack on Titan final season part 2. The film will see different Marley soldiers and Eldian soldiers unite to stop Eren Yeager before he destroys the entirety of humanity.
The Attack on Titan: The Final Chapter -The Last Attack film will also see the deaths of some fan-favorite characters, as seen in the special series, and a heated battle between two best friends as their ideologies clash.
