On June 30, 2024, after the premiere of the last episode of the previous season, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 was announced through a special preview video. The release date and other details about the sequel will be released in the future.
Mushoku Tensei is a light novel series written and illustrated by Rifujin na Magonote. The series has received a manga adaptation and started its anime adaptation in January 2021 and just completed the airing of the second part of its second season.

The announcement preview video for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 consisted of a narration from the voice actor of the protagonist Rudeus Greyrat, Tomokazu Sugita.
The preview trailer showed the Roman numeral 2 changing into 3, signifying that the series has completed season 2, after two parts, and will now progress toward season 3.
No release date or any information regarding the new season has been announced, but fans can expect the voice cast and staff members to return for season 3 as the animation studio of this series, Studio Bind, was created solely for the anime adaptation of Rifujin na Magonote's light novel.
Mushoku Tensei started its anime adaptation with its first season which consisted of 2 parts, which started on January 11, 2021, and concluded on December 20, 2021. The second season followed suit and was divided into two parts: January 10, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
As indicated by the ongoing trend for the series, fans can expect Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 to also be a two-part split that airs in different anime seasons. As for the episode count, it could be the same as the previous ones, 23-24 episodes but this information is speculative.
Mushoku Tensei season 2 part 2 episode 12 summary
The episode was titled "Succession" and commenced with Rudeus and his party returning home. He was worried about his wife Sylphy and as he entered his home, he couldn't find anyone. Slowly, everyone emerged and Sylphy still hadn't conceived her child and was healthy, which calmed Rudeus down.
Everyone then entered and Norn also came back from school. They then broke the news of Paul's death. Norn cried and wanted to blame Rudeus for it, but she kept her calm after witnessing her brother had lost one arm. She requested Rudeus to return Paul's sword to her, upon which Rudeus repeated the same words Paul said to him and gave her the sword.
After everyone left, Rudeus broke the news of Roxy, as a potential second wife, to Slyphy. Norn wasn't happy with the news but Rudeus tried to convince her with all his might. Norn also kept mocking Roxy after which the latter decided to leave. Sylphy stood and stopped Roxy, inviting her to the family.
The last part of the episode saw Slyphy conceive Rudeus' child who was identical to the protagonist in every way. They named the newborn Lucie Greyrat and the next day, Rudeus visited his father's grave and told him everything. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 3 will continue from this point onwards.
