On December 3, 2024, the official Shonen Jump YouTube Channel streamed a special My Hero Academia announcement video to unveil that Katsuki Bakugo topped the PLUS ULTRA STAGE. With that, he was crowned the special title "The MHA." The character will also receive a statue in his image.

With the final result of the PLUS ULTRA STAGE unveiled, My Hero Academia's WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll has finally concluded. With that, fans can soon expect to witness the original illustrations of the top ten characters drawn by Kohei Horikoshi and a bronze statue to commemorate "The MHA."

Katsuki Bakugo wins My Hero Academia's PLUS ULTRA STAGE

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the Shonen Jump YouTube Channel streamed a special video to announce the final results of the PLUS ULTRA STAGE of My Hero Academia's WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll.

Katsuki Bakugo won the poll with Deku and Shoto Todoroki ranking second and third, respectively. There was no difference between the top three rankings of the WORLD BEST HERO and PLUS ULTRA STAGE.

With this win, Katsuki Bakugo has now been crowned with the special title of "The MHA." To commemorate his crowning, a special bronze statue of Bakugo will be made. This bronze statue is planned to be exhibited in Japan in 2025. Details about the same will be revealed later.

How fans reacted to Bakugo's win in the PLUS ULTRA STAGE

Many fans were happy with Katsuki Bakugo's win in the popularity poll. The character had won every popularity poll of the series except the first one, making his win monumental.

That said, not all fans were as excited by the final results as they believed that Deku and Shoto deserved the win much more.

"Not only did he win almost all of the JP popularity polls, now he won two global polls," one fan said.

"Uhh I really hate the Bakugo glaze. Deku and Shoto deserved it way more," another fan said.

"That's cool and all but they should've made the All Might statue from the show but understandable," another added.

"Congrats Bakugo!! Though I want a Deku statue that would be super cool," other fan said.

Meanwhile, other fans were content with Katsuki Bakugo winning the popularity poll. However, it seemed odd to them that he would receive a statue. According to them, given their roles in the series, All Might and Deku were more deserving of the statue.
