My Hero Academia: You're Next Movie Releases Special PV

On July 22, 2024, My Hero Academia: You're Next released a special preview video that featured a glimpse of the upcoming movie and a compilation of the previous movies. The movie is set to be released on August 2, 2024, in Japan.

My Hero Academia: You're Next was announced in August 2023 and revealed its first trailer in January 2024. The series kept revealing new trailers and preview videos throughout the year. The movie revealed its runtime on July 21, 2024, and has yet to reveal its official synopsis.

My Hero Academia: You're Next reveals special PV

The special PV commenced with a clip from the first movie, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, where All Might and Deku were running toward the villain. The PV then showed All Might uniting Bakugo and Midoriya in the second movie, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising

The PV also showed both Bakugo and Deku with the quirk One for All from the third movie, My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Rising. The first half of the PV consisted of a compilation of clips from these three movies.

The second half started with a compilation of clips from My Hero Academia: You're Next, where the three protagonists, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki, fight the movie's villain, Dark Might. The PV also previewed the theme song for this movie titled Homonculus performed by Japanese singer Vaundy.

On July 21, 2024, My Hero Academia: You're Next revealed its runtime of 110 minutes. The movie will see all the original voice cast return to voice their characters.

The new characters introduced to the movie will be the Gorrini Family. The members of this family are Giulio Gandini, voiced by Mamoru Miyano (Douma from Demon Slayer); Bruno Gorrini, voiced by Masaki Terasome (Hidan from Naruto); Camillie Gorrini, voiced by Yuuki Ono (Ashiya from Devil is a Part-Timer).

Other members of the family are Hugo Gorrini, voiced by Ken Uo (Kintarou from Bullbusteri); Paul Gorrini, voiced by Yuusuke Kobayashi (Senku from Dr. Stone); Deborah Gorrini, voiced by Minako Kotobuki (Mugi-chan from K-On), and Simon Gorrini voiced by Miichitake Kikuchi (Simon from Parallel World Pharmacy).

Synopsis of My Hero Academia: You're Next

As of this article's publication, there has been no official synopsis unveiled regarding My Hero Academia: You're Next. But as revealed by the author's comments on the announcement of the movie, it will take place after the events of the Paranormal Liberation War.

After the war, a mysterious tower was erected in the middle of Japan, engulfing cities inside it. The group behind this was the Gorrini Family, a group of new villains. To fight them, Midoriya and his friends step up and try to save the day before it's too late.
