My Senpai is Annoying manga ends after 7-year run

On Friday, July 26, 2024, mangaka Shiro Manta published the final chapter of My Senpai is Annoying manga on the Pixiv comic website, marking the end of the manga's spectacular 7-year run. Ichijinsha had earlier announced that the series would conclude with the 13th (& final) compiled volume. The previous volume was released on May 24, 2024.

Shiro Manta launched My Senpai is Annoying manga online on Ichijinsha's Pixiv Comic site under the banner of Comic POOL digital magazine in 2017. The series also inspired an anime adaptation in October 2021, under the production of Doga Kobo Studios, which ran for 12 episodes until December 2021. No information about a sequel has been disclosed thus far.

As mentioned earlier, Shiro Manta, the author of My Senpai is Annoying manga (Senpai ga Uzai Kohai no Hanashi), released the rom-com series' final chapter (236) on Friday, July 26, 2024. The mangaka shared illustrations from the chapter on his official X account (@shiromanga1θ2θ) with fans on the same date.

Ichijinsha, the Japanese publishing company that serializes the manga, had earlier revealed on its X account (@ichijinsha_info) that the series would end with the 13th volume. The latest chapter will be added to the volume. Notably, the mangaka has not revealed whether or not there would be an epilogue.

Besides that, Shiro Manta shared a heartfelt message to his readers, following the release of the final chapter. The mangaka's comments in Japanese, when translated into English, read as follows:

"Thank you so much for reading for the past 7 years! I didn't realize it was while I was drawing, but after hearing everyone's thanks for their hard work, I suddenly felt very lonely. Futaba and the others' lives will continue, so I hope to continue to show them to everyone through me from time to time."

Additionally, Shiro Manta mentioned that he would continue to work hard as a manga artist. The mangaka added that he would be grateful if his readers would support him.

The final chapter of My Senpai is Annoying manga saw Harumi Takeda promising to stay by Futaba's side, as her husband. Harumi's assurance made Futaba teary, as the chapter ended on a happy note for the main duo.

Shiro Manta's My Senpai is Annoying manga follows the story of Futaba Igarashi, who feels Harumi Takeda, her colleague in her new office, is annoying. Futaba detests everything about Harumi, from his laughter to his bulky appearance.

Most importantly, she hates the fact that Harumi treats her like a child. However, as she gets to spend more time with him, she develops feelings she never imagined she would have for him.
