IDW Publishing and VIZ Media are set to launch the Naruto X Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover comic. The comic will feature four issues, out of which the first one will be released on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The comic also unveiled the staff list and concept artworks for the same.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, released its first issue in 1984 under Mirage Studios' imprint. The comic book later expanded into a media franchise by releasing toys, animated shows, and video games. Following its widespread success, the comic is now set to collaborate with one of the biggest manga franchises in the world, Naruto.

On Monday, July 23, 2024, IGN reported that IDW Publishing and VIZ Media are working on a collaboration between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Naruto. The crossover comic book is set to release four issues in total. The first issue will be released on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Caleb Goellner, who previously worked on Sonic the Hedgehog, will be writing the comic's script. Meanwhile, Hendry Prasetya, who previously worked on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, will draw the comic. He has already drawn the cover art for issue #1 alongside Jorges Jiménez, which is set to be released in November 2024.

Joining them are Raúl Angulo and Ed Dukeshire, who will be coloring and lettering the comic, respectively.

In addition to the staff members list, IDW Publishing and VIZ Media have also unveiled the cover art and concept designs for Raphael, Michelangelo, April O'Neil, and Splinter.

The crossover comic's writer, Caleb Goellner, also shared that he was stoked and humbled by the opportunity to work with the coolest talent in comics and manga. He believed it to be an honor to introduce the ninjas created in a massive mutagen and chakra-fueled adventure for fans everywhere.

What will the Naruto X Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover comic be about?

The crossover comic will see the teenage reporter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a meeting with the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. This meeting will catch the interest of Team 7.

However, the Shinobi aren't the only ones interested in the meeting. The TMNT antagonist group, The Foot Clan, has their own interest in April’s visit to Konoha. They believe that the teenager holds valuable information on mutation research being conducted by the scientist Baxter Stockman. Hence, with April caught in the middle of it, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are set to rescue her, possibly by working alongside Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi.
