Naruto x TMNT crossover features Sasuke, Kakashi, and more in sneak peek of issue #1

The Naruto x TMNT crossover is set to come out on October 7 and there are already sneak peeks of the first issue. The sneak-peak, released on October 2, shared that the crossover would feature staple characters of both series such as April O'Neil, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and a few more.

There was also some information regarding the plot, which is going to be centered around April being involved in a conflict between the Foot Clan and the Hidden Leaf Village.

It is also worth pointing out how much of a rarity this Naruto X TMNT crossover is since is not very normal to see anime franchises working with people from other countries. However, it is a testament to the staying power of author Masashi Kishimoto's series and the tremendous reach it has had all over the world in the last twenty years.

Naruto crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles already shows classic characters involved

The upcoming crossover between the Shueisha and IDW properties is set to release its first issue on October 7 but there are already some sneak peeks of what is going to be about. Some of the published pages feature some of the most iconic characters of both franchises, such as April O'Neil, Kakashi, and Sasuke.

Moreover, it could be seen that this crossover is going to be focused on the earlier portions of Masashi Kishimoto's series since some pages feature the protagonist talking with Kurama when they didn't get along and Sasuke talking about Orochimaru. This crossover is expected to be four-issue long and feature several variant covers for collectors.

The premise of the crossover

As mentioned earlier, the bulk of this crossover seems to be centered around the character of April O'Neil and her involvement with the Hidden Leaf Village. This starts as she is seen having a conversation with the fifth Hokage, Tsunade, and this piques the interest of the main cast, although things escalate when the Foot Clan gets involved.

The Foot Clan seems to believe that April has the information on mutation made by Dr. Baxter Stockman and wants to get a hold of her. Naturally, since she is the main source of the conflict in this crossover, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are going to arrive at the Hidden Leaf Village and get involved to save their friend.

This is very likely when the Naruto X TMNT crossover is going to find its zenith, although is very early stages to speculate on the plot.
