On Friday, July 19, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Okinawa de Suki ni Natta anime shared a promotional video and visual to announce that the series will premiere in January 2025. Along with this announcement, the staff shared details regarding the two new cast members and the opening theme song artist.
Fully titled Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hogen Sugite Tsurasugiru (The Dialect of the Girl I Fell in Love With in Okinawa Is Too Difficult to Deal With) anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous manga series, written and illustrated by Egumi Sora. Shinchosa's Kurage Bunch website has been serializing the manga since January 2020, with eight volumes published thus far.

As mentioned earlier, the official staff for the Okinawa de Suki ni Natta anime streamed a promotional video on Friday, July 19, 2024, to reveal that the rom-com series will be released in January 2025, i.e., in the Winter 2025 anime season.
Along with this announcement, the broadcast information for the Okinawa de Suki ni Natta anime has arrived. The anime is set to air its episodes weekly on Tokyo MX, BS11, Okinawa TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting, Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting, and other affiliated channels starting January 2025. A narrower release date will be revealed later.
Interestingly, the latest PV showcases the vividness of Okinawa, with the serene ocean and the gentle breeze inviting the warmth of Summer. The main characters, including Kana Higa, Teruaki Nakamura, and Hina Kyan, are seen in the short clip.
Additional cast members are announced. Etsuko Kozakura stars as Oki Memo Shisha, a character based on Okinawa's famous ancient lion statue. Tarusuke Shingaki has also joined the voice cast as the narrator of the series.
These new voice actors will join the previously announced cast members, who are Takeo Otsuka (Teruaki Nakamura), Fairouz Ali (Kana Higa), and Akari Kito (Hina Kyan). Comments from the new cast members have arrived on the anime's website, where they expressed their excitement to be part of the franchise.
Besides the new voice actors, the official staff announced that the Okinawa-based four-piece band, HY (Hideyuki Niizato), is in charge of the opening theme song. Additionally, the staff unveiled an original visual to commemorate the announcement regarding the Okinawa de Suki ni Natta anime's premiere. The visual features Hina Kyan, Kana Higa, and the anime's ambassador, VTuber Ui Nema.

Shingo Tanabe directs the series at Millepensee, with Shin Itagaki as the chief director. Tanabe-san is also supervising the scripts. Tomohiro Yoshida is enlisted as the chief animation director, while Tomohisha Ishikawa, Ayano Kinjo, and Yoshimi Katayama are composing the series' music at King Records.
Based on Egumi Sora's manga, the rom-com anime follows Teruaki Nakamura, who transfers from Tokyo to Okinawa. He meets a girl named Hina Kyan and develops feelings. However, he finds difficulty in comprehending her Okinawan dialect. Hina Kyan's friend, Kana Higa, helps Teruaki by translating the dialect for him, but the boy doesn't know that Kana has a secret crush on him.
