On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Crunchyroll confirmed the production of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime with an announcement promotional video and visual. The company announced this news during its stage event at Anime Expo 2024. A website has also been opened to share the PV.
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime serves as an adaptation of author Sing Shong, illustrator Sleepy-C, and UMI's South Korean webtoon of the same name. It has been serialized in English on LINE manga since 2020. The Korean version of the manhwa has been published by Naver Webtoon. The series was originally a web novel, written by Sing Shong.

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Crunchyroll was given a stage at Anime Expo 2024. During the panel event, the company announced the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime's production, based on Sing Shong, Sleepy C, and UMI's eponymous webtoon.
However, no pertinent details such as the release date, production studio, cast, and staff were revealed at the event. Nevertheless, the PV captures some of the iconic moments from the webtoon, featuring Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, Shin Yoosung, and others.
The visual for the anime features the series protagonist, Kim Dokja, and Yoo Joonghyuk, the main character of Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse. Dokja is seen holding his phone, while Joonghyuk wields his sword.
Following the announcement at the event, Aniplex shared the PV on its official YouTube channel. Additionally, a teaser website was opened to share the PV with fans. Further updates regarding the anime will likely be posted on the official site.
Interestingly, the news about the anime's production was leaked in January 2024 by the renowned leaker, SugoiLITE, on X. There were rumors that Ufotable might become the production, but the official announcement hasn't disclosed the production studio's name.
However, Aniplex has earned the license to produce the anime. As such, fans would have to wait to know about the studio that will be in charge of the series production.
About Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime will follow the webtoon written by Sing Shong. The narrative follows Kim Dokja, an average office worker, who loves to read his favorite web novel, "Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse."
Interestingly, Dokja happens to be the sole reader of this novel. One day, the protagonist observes that the novel's events have become a reality. As fate would have it, Dokja becomes the only person who knows how the world will lend.
Armed with the ultimate knowledge, Kim Dokja demonstrates his smarts to change the course of the story and the world along with it. As such, the anime will feature full-on action and strategy.
