On July 4, 2024, during an interview on a One Piece YouTube channel, the series' editor revealed that Vegapunk's message could be just the prequel to a bigger event about to happen in the Egghead arc.
The Egghead Arc is the first arc of the final saga of the series. In this arc, the Straw Hat Pirates enter Egghead Island to help Dr. Vegapunk escape, as the World Government is after him. CP0 also enters the arc, complicating Vegapunk's escape. This situation intensifies further with the entry of the Five Elders, who are determined to ensure that no one escapes the islands alive.

One Piece: A bigger reveal awaits fans after Vegapunk's message
The YouTube video centered around the discussion of the latest released Vivre Card of the series. The Vivre card was released on July 4, 2024, and the YouTuber reviewed it immediately after its release.
What made this video special was the guest, Kaito Anayama, one of the editors of the One Piece manga series. Anayama is notable for claiming to know what lies at the end of the Grand Line, a secret no one else, other than the author Eiichiro Oda, is aware of.
The majority of the video focused on Anayama and the YouTuber discussing the Vivre Card. In the latter part of the video, they touched on Eiichro Oda's health and the Egghead arc.
After arriving at the topic of Vegapunk's message, the editor mentioned that fans are already getting excited after Vegapunk's message, about the world flooding, but a bigger event awaits the fandom in the future. Unfortunately, the editor didn't reveal any specifics about this 'bigger event' in the video.
What is the message of Vegapunk in One Piece?
After the demise of Vegapunk at the hands of Admiral Kizaru, a visual stream started popping up all around the Grand Line focused on Vegapunk (Stella) and two satellites: Shaka and Pythagoras. These three gave the audience 10 minutes to set up screens if they didn't have any because what he was about to reveal would be the 'truth of the world.'
Looking at things getting out of hand, Saint Saturn avoided taking any risks and summoned all the Five Elders to Egghead Island to stop Vegapunk before it was too late. Ten minutes passed, and Vegapunk started his message.
He then revealed the core crux of this message, which was that the Grand Line was sinking. To prove his point, he gave the world a prediction of an earthquake that actually happened.
When the world finally believed him, he continued and made some revelations and apologized for his sins until the Gorosei impaled the Iron Giant and stopped the stream. But it seems the stream still hasn't been stopped completely.
Final thoughts
The hype surrounding the Egghead arc is already at its peak with the reveal of JoyBoy and the Iron Giant fighting the Gorosei. If there is something bigger than the message of Vegapunk, it would undoubtedly be the biggest event of the series yet.
As for what this event could be, it is really hard to predict. It could be regarding the truth behind the World Government leader, Imu, or a hint as to what the One Piece could be. But these are just mere speculations, so it is advised to wait for official confirmation.
