Since 1997, the One Piece manga has captivated millions of fans around the globe, enchanting them with its peculiar blend of fascinating worldbuilding, epic battles, thrilling mysteries, and unique humor. After the memorable Wano Arc, the series has entered its endgame, with the Egghead Arc unfolding some prominent storylines that will be further developed in the freshly started arc set in Elbaf.
It would be hard to find a single flaw in this addictive pirate-themed tale if it weren’t for the slow pacing of the manga, which is the original source material. With the author Eiichiro Oda taking several breaks, the pace of the One Piece manga has indeed slowed down considerably, which is one of the reasons why the anime adaptation was forced to take a six-month hiatus.
Unfortunately, the situation doesn't seem to be getting any better, as it has been reported that the One Piece manga will be taking a two-week break after the release of chapter 1130. Fans have just started to enjoy the Elbaf Arc but will have to wait until the beginning of November 2024 to see the continuation of the Straw Hat crew’s adventure in the fabled homeland of the Giants.

One Piece manga set to take a two-week hiatus after chapter 1130
One Piece chapter 1130 is set to officially release on October 21, 2024, on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website and app. However, according to various reports from reliable leakers such as @pewpiece and @ScotchInformer, the subsequent installment will be delayed significantly as the manga will allegedly take a two-week break.
This means that after the publication of One Piece chapter 1130 in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #47, the next installment of the manga will be released at the beginning of November, presumably on November 11, 2024. Granted, the first spoilers will probably be available a few days earlier.
Likewise, the upcoming hiatus means that the One Piece manga will only release two chapters within October 2024. Understandably, fans are disappointed by this news, which implies a further slowdown in the storytelling just when the long-awaited Elbaf Arc was finally about to unfold.
While the prolonged break isn’t easy to endure, manga readers have spoken out in support of Eiichiro Oda, advising the author to take as much time as he needs to work on the story and look after his health. Oda submits himself to a huge, insane workload, especially as he not only writes and draws the One Piece manga, but also works as an executive producer for Netflix’s One Piece live-action show.
Perhaps, the recently announced six-month hiatus of the One Piece anime is also due to Eiichiro Oda’s involvement with Season 2 of Netflix’s show. This will force the author to undergo manga breaks even more frequently than usual.
Before writing this article, no confirmed leaks of One Piece chapter 1130 have been released. That said, fans can only hope for an exciting issue to mitigate the disappointment for the manga's upcoming break.
