One Punch Man season 3 character visual showcases Tatsumaki in her "Terrible Tornado" glory

On Friday, August 2, 2024, One Punch Man Season 3 anime unveiled the character visual for Tatsumaki, also known as "Terrible Tornado" on the anime's official website. The new illustration is drawn by Shinjiro Kuroda, one of the character designers for the upcoming anime.

Following the release of One Punch Man Season 1 in the Fall 2015 anime season and Season 2 in the Spring 2019 anime season, the anime's staff remained silent about the third season's production. Years later, after the anime unveiled its announcement trailer, the staff started releasing one character visual every month.


One Punch Man Season 3 unveils sixth character visual

On Friday, August 2, 2024, the official sources of One Punch Man anime unveiled the character visual for the S-Class Hero Tatsumaki, also known as "Terrible Tornado." The new character visual is drawn by Shinjiro Kuroda, one of the character designers for One Punch Man Season 3 anime alongside Ryosuke Shirakawa.

As for Tatsumaki's illustration, it features the S-Class Rank 2 Hero seemingly preparing to fight a monster or enemy.

The anime's official website has been releasing one character visual each at the start of every month following the release of One Punch Man Season 3 announcement video back in February 2024. Up until now, the anime had unveiled five character visuals. The five characters were Saitama "Caped Baldy," King, Genos "Demon Cyborg," Fubuki "Hellish Blizzard," and Bang "Silver Fang."

Out of the total six character visuals that have been released till now, Saitama, King, and Fubuki have been illustrated by Ryosuke Shirakawa. Meanwhile, the rest, i.e., Genos, Bang, and Tatsumaki have been illustrated by Shinjiro Kuroda.


How fans reacted to Tatsumaki's character visual

One Punch Man fans had mixed reactions to the Tatsumaki character visual. While some fans liked it, others found it a bit off. The fans who liked the visual loved how the illustration made the character look youthful.

"I like it, but she looks a bit too youthful IMO," one fan said.
"Someone please tell me if im just tripping, but does she look kinda off?," another added.
"interesting choice of style on her but it’s not bad, wonder how she’ll look in animation," another said.

As for others, they didn't really like the choice of style used for the character. They did not necessarily dislike the visual but weren't sure how it would look when animated.

"i wonder how many hero visual we need before they announce one punch man season 3 release date," another fan said.
"And another one, maybe Child Emperor will be the next one," other fan said.

Meanwhile, other fans started wondering about how many character visuals the anime could unveil before they announced the series' release date. As for others, they speculated Child Emperor to be the next character in line to receive his character visual.
