On Friday, September 6, 2024, One Punch Man season 3 unveiled the character visual for Kamikaze, also known as Atomic Samurai, on the anime's official website. The new illustration is drawn by Ryosuke Shirakawa, one of the character designers of the upcoming anime.

Following the release of One Punch Man season 2 in the Spring 2019 anime season, the anime's staff remained silent about the anime's sequel. Even after the anime got renewed, it took some time for the series to reveal some information. Finally, in February 2024, the anime unveiled the announcement trailer for One Punch Man season 3.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the official sources of One Punch Man anime unveiled the character visual of S-Class Rank 3 Hero Kamikaze, also known as Atomic Samurai. The new character visual is drawn by Ryosuke Shirakawa, one of the character designers for One Punch Man season 3 anime alongside Shinjiro Kuroda.

As for the Atomic Samurai visual, it features the S-Class Hero preparing for a fight by placing his hands on his scabbard to draw his sword out.

As fans must have noticed, ever since the anime unveiled its trailer in February 2024, the series's official website has been unveiling the character designs of one hero every month.

Up until now, the anime had unveiled the character visuals for six characters. The six characters were Saitama "Caped Baldy," King, Genos "Demon Cyborg," Fubuki "Hellish Blizzard," Bang "Silver Fang," and Tatsumaki "Terrible Tornado."

Out of the seven total character designs that have been unveiled till now, Saitama, King, Fubuki, and Kamikaze were illustrated by Ryosuke Shirakawa. As for the rest, i.e., Genos, Bang, and Tatsumaki, they were illustrated by Shinjiro Kuroda.

How fans reacted to Atomic Samurai's character visual

While most fans were happy to see the new character visual, they were also worried about the anime's third season. It had been over six months since the anime unveiled its announcement trailer, however, till now, not much has been revealed about the anime.

"He looks sick," one fan said.
"Another visual another month closer to hopefully a new trailer. I'm guessing will be at the end of the visuals released," another fan said.
"It's been 7 months since the first trailer and we don't know anything about the third season," another added.
"This is awesome and all but like how many FREAKING MORE TILL SEASON 3?! 1000???," other fan said.

Fans wanted to see a new trailer for One Punch Man season 3 but with the character visuals that were being unveiled every month, fans feared that they would need to wait until all illustrations were released. This was worrying as the anime had a large cast, thus waiting for all character visuals to be dropped would take ages.
