Following the conclusion of One Punch Man season 2, J.C. Staff remained silent about the anime's third season for a long time. This led many fans to conclude that the series's animation production team was set to change yet again. Momentarily, J.C. Staff announced the anime and revealed its teaser trailer and 2025 release.
One Punch Man season 3 unveils its eleventh and twelfth character visuals
On Friday, January 10, 2025, the official sources of the One Punch Man anime disclosed the character visuals of S-Class Rank 11 Hero Superalloy Blackluster and S-Class Rank 10 Hero Flashy Flash.
Up until now, the anime dropped its Hero character visuals on the first Friday of every month. However, the series diverted from this pattern in January 2025, as not only did the anime release the visuals on the month's second Friday but it also unveiled two visuals, unlike previously when it released one visual per month.
As for Superalloy Blackluster's visual, the Hero can be seen preparing his fists to fight someone. Ryosuke Shirakawa evidently made huge changes to the hero's character design for the third season. Previously, the hero was depicted with thick lips, a fat nose, and a much more curvish aesthetic.
However, for the third season, Ryosuke Shirakawa has changed the hero's character design based on Yusuke Murata's updated design in the manga. Despite having the same features, the character is shown with a chiseled aesthetic, making him look much better. This is also evident from the hero's updated physique change which looks similar to his body constitution in the manga.
As for Flashy Flash's visual, he too, looks like he's preparing for battle like Superalloy Blackluster. However, in his case, instead of preparing his fists, he is drawing out his katana.
Speaking of his character design, while it seems like it has remained the same, some signs depict that it has been simplified. This is especially evident from the hero's hair in the visual. Unlike the previous seasons where Flashy Flash's hair was one of the most detailed parts of his design, it has now been reduced to a few streaks, almost as if the design was drawn in a hurry.
