Oshi no Ko episode 5 preview hints at Kana Arima becoming an idol

Doga Kobo has finally released the preview images and synopsis for Oshi no Ko episode 5, which is scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 10, at 11:00 pm JST. The episode, titled Reality Dating Show, will be available to stream on HiDIVE, Ani-One Asia ULTRA, and Netflix Asia.

The previous episode saw Aqua showcasing his acting ability in the Sweet Today drama as he managed to make the final episode good. With that, Aqua gained some recognition and was identified by actress Frill Shiranui, following which Ruby quickly wanted to start working as an idol.

Oshi no Ko episode 5 preview hints at Aqua joining a reality dating show

Oshi no Ko episode 5, titled Reality Dating Show, will resume right from where the previous episode ended. Previously, Ruby witnessed Aqua being recognized by popular young actress Frill Shiranui, following which she felt the need to start her idol work quickly as believed that her classmates might bully her after finding out that she has no work.

Thus, Ruby went to her mother Miyako Saitou to start her idol activities as soon as possible. However, they were yet to scout idols, thus Aqua suggested to his mother to recruit Kana Arima, considering that she was a freelance artist.

Following that, Ruby asked Kana to join her in the idol group. While she could see the potential in being in an idol group, Kana refused the offer because of the risks. Nevertheless, Aqua managed to woo her and join the idol group.

Thus, as part of their first idol activities, Ruby and Kana are set to collaborate with another client of Strawberry Productions, internet sensation Pieyon. They are set to make a video to help them launch themselves and gain some followers from Pieyon's reach.

Meanwhile, Aqua is set to keep his promise with Producer Kaburagi, which would see the producer reveal some huge secrets about Aqua and Ruby's mother Ai.

As part of the deal, Aquamarine Hoshino is set to appear on a Reality Dating Show, which will introduce some new characters to the series, including actress Akane Kurokawa and YouTuber Mem-Cho.

The upcoming episode is also set to begin a new chapter in the series, i.e., the Dating Reality Show arc. With this, both Aqua and Ruby will be taking their first steps into the Entertainment world.
