On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the staff of Oshi no Ko, the live-action series and film adaptation, revealed the film's trailer. The trailer unveiled the film's full title Oshi no Ko - The Final Act and previewed the ending theme song performed by the in-story B-Komachi unit.

Written by Aka Akasaka, and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series that began serialization in April 2020. It is slated to end in November 2024. The manga series has spawned two seasonal television anime and is soon set to release a television series, followed by a movie.

On November 12, 2024, the official YouTube channel of Oshi no Ko live-action unveiled the trailer for the finale movie. The title of the movie will be Oshi no Ko - The Final Act. It will be released on Friday, December 20, 2024, in Japanese theaters nationwide.

In addition to the title of the movie, the trailer also previewed the ending theme song for the live-action movie. The ending theme song is called Shining Song and will be performed by the in-story idol unit B-Komachi, i.e., Nagisa Saitō (Ruby Hoshino), Nanoka Hara (Kana Arima), and Ano (Mem-Cho).

While Nagisa Saitō is a former =LOVE idol group member, Ano has performed the theme songs in Tiger & Bunny 2 and Chainsaw Man.

As for the trailer, for the first half, it showcased scenes that essentially take place in the manga's first 10 chapters or the anime's first episode. This was questionable as the trailer was supposed to be for the movie set to be released after the eight-episode series would stream on Amazon Prime.

While the trailer later switched to scenes from the latter part of the story, parts of it made it seem like the live-action movie was going to conclude the entire story, with no hope for a second season.

This was suggested by a scene that saw Miyako Saitou tossing what looked look a script written by Aqua. In addition, someone was seen editing Ai Hoshino's death scene within the trailer. These segments suggest that the upcoming movie will adapt the Movie Arc.

Lastly, there was also a scene that showed the contents of a tape that Ai Hoshino had Taishi Gotanda save for Aqua and Ruby. The tape was revealed much later in the story. Hence, the movie could essentially feature an original ending compared to the manga series from Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
