On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Oshi no Ko anime revealed that Oshi no Ko season 2 finale will be delayed by four days and will premiere on Sunday, October 6, 2024. This announcement was made by the anime's official sources soon after the penultimate episode was aired.

The previous episode saw the Ichigo Production group go to Miyazaki alongside Akane Kurokawa. During the trip, Aqua tried tracking down Gorou Amamiya's body with Akane. The anime later saw Ruby and Akane stumbling into the corpse after following a crow that took their inn keys.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, soon after the release of Oshi no Ko season 2 episode 12, the anime's official X account announced that Oshi no Ko season 2 finale will not be airing on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Instead, Oshi no Ko season 2 finale will premiere four days later, on Sunday, October 6, 2024. However, it is not just the release date that has changed, the anime also announced a different air time for the season finale.

While the anime generally airs its episodes at 11 pm JST, for the finale, the anime will broadcast the episode four hours early, at 7 pm JST. Hence, fans need to tune into TOKYO MX and ABEMA on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 7 pm JST if they wish to watch the season finale right as it airs.

As for the international simulcast, fans can expect HIDIVE and other streaming services worldwide to release the episode after the same delay as observed during the general release schedule.

What to expect from Oshi no Ko season 2 finale?

Oshi no Ko season 2 finale will most likely reveal Aqua Hoshino's reaction to someone finally finding his dead body from his previous life as Gorou Amamiya. After 16 years, such a find shouldn't really affect Aqua, nevertheless, one must remember that Aqua spent around 30 years as Gorou. Thus, it should bring him some relief that his body would no longer be left rotting outside.

As for Ruby Hoshino, given that others do not know of her connection with Gorou, she may be forced to finish filming the music videos with B-Komachi. With that, the upcoming episode could see the end of the Private Arc.
