Oshi no Ko season 2 unveils new PV previewing the ending theme song
On Sunday, June 30, 2024, the official website of Oshi no Ko anime released a new promotional video for its upcoming season 2 anime. The promotional video previewed the anime's ending theme song, "Burning" by Hitsujibungaku.
In addition to previewing the ending theme song, the promotional video also unveiled the artists for the opening theme song "Fatal." Previously, it was announced that a musical unit called GEMN would be performing it. However, its members remained a mystery until the new PV was released.
According to the new Oshi no Ko season 2 PV, the musical unit GEMN consists of Kento Nakajima and Tatsuya Kitani. Kento Nakajima was a former Sexy Zone and Timeless member, and Tatsuya Kitani is famous for performing opening theme songs for Go, Go, Loser Ranger!, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
The promotional video seemed to focus on the insecurities carried by the cast and staff members of the Tokyo Blade Stage Play.
Akane Kurokawa and Kana Arima have been rivals since childhood, and Kana often defeats her in every audition. So, Akane knew that Kana had slowly become an actress who would conveniently move to the sidelines to support others. However, during the stage play's practice, she noticed that Kana was able to challenge her time in the limelight again.
The PV also saw Melt Narushima seemingly speaking to Kana Arima, apologizing for his poor acting in the past. With that, the anime might have hinted at him working hard to become a better actor.
The PV also saw Abiko Samejima, the manga creator of Tokyo Blade, meeting the stage play's cast members. However, given her shyness, she immediately hid behind her friend and former mentor, Yoriko Kichijouji. With that, the anime unveiled how unsocial she was with new people.
Following that, the promotional video also showed Goa, the screenwriter for the Stage Play. His work is seemingly set to be questioned by Tokyo Blade's original creator, Abiko Samejima, forcing him to question his hard work. Right after, the anime revealed that Yoriko Kichijouji was envious of Abiko Samejima due to her talent as a genius manga creator.
Lastly, the Oshi no Ko season 2 promotional video saw Ruby Hoshino asking her adoptive mother Miyako Saitou to find more work for her so that she could complain about her workload to her peers. Seemingly, Ruby Hoshino has had less work as an idol for some time, making her feel listless in front of her peers.
In addition to that, the promotional video also gave fans glimpses of Aqua Hoshino, Kana Arima, Taiki Himekawa, Mem-Cho, and Raida Sumiaki.
