On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 announced that the series' broadcast and digital distribution from Episode 5 onwards will be postponed until further notice.

The staff has shared a message, according to which, the series has entered an indefinite hiatus to "maintain the quality of the main story." The official team has apologized to fans for the inconvenience and mentioned that they appreciate the continued support.

Additionally, the anime's production committee mentioned that would continue to work together with Kei Sazane (the original author), the editorial department, and the production studio to continue the production and deliver the best experience to fans.

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 Episode 5 was originally slated to release on August 7, 2024. However, according to the latest update, the series will air selected episodes from the first season on the same timeslot every Wednesday.

Episodes 1-3 from Season 1 will air on August 7, 14, and 21. Following that, the series will telecast Episode 5 from Season 1 on August 28, and Episodes 9-12 on September 4, 11, 18, and 25. Aside from the broadcast of Season 2, the sequel's Blu-ray release has also been delayed until further notice.

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 premiered on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, ABC TV channels, and the d Anime Store streaming service in Japan on July 10, 2024. Notably, the sequel was slated to premiere in 2023 but was delayed to July 2024 due to production issues. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide, except in Asian regions.

The fantasy anime follows the story of Iska, a brilliant swordsman from a scientifically advanced empire, and Aliceliese, the princess of the Nebulis Imperial court. While they are sworn enemies, they are moved by each other's qualities.
