Ruri's Jewels anime confirmed for 2025

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, a new website and X account were opened to confirm the production of Ruri's Jewels anime. The mineralogy-themed anime based on mangaka Keiichiro Shibuya's eponymous manga series will premiere in 2025.

The official staff has announced that more information regarding the anime will be announced at the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event on September 16, 2024.

Notably, Keiichiro Shibuya launched the mineralogy manga in Kadokawa's Harta magazine in August 2019. Since then, the magazine has compiled the manga's chapters into four tankobon volumes, with the fifth volume slated to release on September 13, 2024.

Ruri's Jewels anime premieres in 2025

As mentioned earlier, the official staff created a new website and X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, to announce that Ruri's Jewels anime will premiere in 2025.

The title is based on Keiichiro Shibuya's mineralogy manga of the same name. The official announcement came with the first tankobon volume's cover illustration, featuring Ruri and Nagi, exploring minerals.

Unfortunately, the staff didn't reveal a narrower release date. Likewise, no information concerning the anime's cast, staff, or production studio was given. However, the staff revealed that more details regarding Ruri's Jewels anime will be disclosed at the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 on September 16, 2024.

Fans can watch the live stream on Aniplex's official YouTube channel. Notably, Keiichiro Shibuya has shared a celebratory visual on their official X account (@Shibunoya). The illustration features the main characters, Nagi and Ruri, who appear delighted.

The visual also includes a congratulatory text in Japanese. Moreover, the anime's X account has shared Shibuya-san's message with fans. The author has urged fans to look forward to the anime adaptation.

Although the anime's staff hasn't revealed an official synopsis for the anime yet, it will follow the narrative written by Keiichiro Shibuya. It's a science adventure story, that reflects the knowledge of Keiichiro-san, who studied mineralogy. The narrative follows Ruri, a high school girl, who is fond of jewelry and accessories.

She even goes to a mountain to mine crystals herself. One day at the mountains, she meets Nagi, a mineralogy graduate student. The chance meeting opens the door of knowledge for Ruri, who becomes evermore fascinated by the world of jewels and minerals.

As such, the Ruri's Jewels anime will showcase Ruri and Nagi's scientific expeditions, as they will look to learn more about minerals.
