The Senpai Is an Otokonoko sequel will be released on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025, and will continue the rest of the story after Season 1 ends. Senpai Is an Otokonoko, a direct adaptation of the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Pomu.
The series first began serialization on December 7, 2019, and ended its run on December 30, 2021. The availability of the Senpai Is an Otokonoko sequel on streaming platforms or bigger screens has not yet been completely revealed. However, the Senpai Is an Otokonoko sequel might mark the end of the series completely after its manga.
The story pertains to the romance as well as coming-of-age genres. It revolves around Makoto Hanaoka, a crossdresser who finds himself involved in an odd love triangle between him, his childhood friend Ryuji Taiga, and a girl from his own high school named Saki Aoi.
Although Makoto initially rejects both of their advances due to his concerns about the consequences of being associated with a crossdresser, the entire story focuses on him opening up to different people.
The anime aired as part of Crunchyroll's Summer 2024 anime lineup with a single season consisting of 12 episodes. The production was handled by Studio Project No.9, which had previously worked on My Tiny Senpai and Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway anime.
