Saturday, October 26, 2024, saw Crunchyroll announce that the English dub of Shangri-la Frontier season 2 would begin streaming on its platform the next day. In addition to this news, Crunchyroll also revealed the English dub cast for the anime, as well as the staff who will be overseeing the English dub adaptation.

Shangri-la Frontier season 2’s English dub cast features many notable voice actors, many of whom are returning to reprise their roles from the first season’s English dub. Some of the most notable who fall into this category include Eric Vale (of One Piece and Dragon Ball Z fame), Ian Sinclair (also of One Piece and Dragon Ball Z fame), and many more.

As mentioned above, the English dub for Shangri-la Frontier season 2 began streaming on Sunday, October 27. Likewise, the dub is now available to stream on the platform as of this article’s writing. Staff for the English dub includes Jason Lord as the voice director, Susie Nixon as producer, Jared Smith in charge of the adaptation, Neal Malley as mixer, and Victor Acosta as the engineer. The English dub cast includes:

Brianna Roberts as Towa/Pencilgon

As of this article’s writing, it’s unclear whether or not this will be the full English dub cast for the second season. However, this seems unlikely for a few key reasons, the first being that the dub will be produced in a simuldub style. Likewise, the English dub can’t reasonably cast characters set to appear later on in the season who haven’t yet. Furthermore, there’s also the fact that the cast list seems relatively small for a two-cour season.

Toshiyuki Kubooka is directing the general anime at C2C studios with Hiroki Ikeshita as the assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu supervised and wrote the scripts for the series, with Ayumi Kurashima serving as a character designer and chief animation director. monaca composed the music for the series.

Shangri-la Frontier season 2 serves as the continuation of the television anime adaptation of the original web novel series of the same name written by Katarina. The web novel was published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website starting in May 2017 and is still ongoing today. A manga adaptation began in July 2020 and is also still ongoing today.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2023 and also ran for a total of two cours and 25 episodes like season 2 will. The series was regarded as one of the best and most notable of the Fall 2023 anime broadcast season.
