On January 12, 2025, the official YouTube channel of Jel, a member of the Japanese boy band Strawberry Prince, announced the Toi-san anime film based on the bandmate's official short series. The anime film will be released in the Summer of 2025 (in Japan only).
The official title of the film is yet to be announced. Strawberry Prince is a 6-unit Japanese band. The band has performed various anime theme songs and an anime film dedicated to them, set to be released in Summer 2025.

The trailer then revealed various character designs and still panels for the film. It ended with Jel voicing the female protagonist, Toi, and the reveal of the series' release window, Summer 2025 (July-Sep).
Jel (also known as Jeru) is a member of the Japanese band Strawberry Prince. The boyband is known for anime theme songs like Cardfight!! Vanguard: overDress season 2 (opening song) and Re: Stars (ending song for the Japanese dub). The Toi-san anime film is based on a short comedy series by Jel.
Due to this, the Japanese singer will be a part of the anime film's planning, voice casting, storyboards, character design, and scripts. Jel will be assisted by a fellow bandmate, Nanamori, in these staff positions. Shochiku (the production house of Blue Archive) will be the distributor of the anime film.
Dentsu (one of the production houses of Dandadan) and STPR will be the producers of this anime film. Jel's band also received an anime film titled STPR Origin Story the Movie: Strawberry School Festival!!!!, which was released on July 19, 2024.
The anime film was animated by LIDENFILMS (Tokyo Revengers), and some of its staff members included Naoki Matsuura (episode director of Attack on Titan Final season part 2) as the director, Chika Suzumura (scriptwriter of Burn the Witch) as the scriptwriter, and Yumi Nakamura (character designer of Liar Liar) as the character designer.

As of this article's publication, the Toi-san anime film has yet to reveal any official synopsis. However, the film might follow the same synopsis as the short series of Jel, which is a high school comedy series.
The short series is centered around Akane Toi, a female high school student who meets Jel on her first day of school, a male high school student (presumably the anime persona of Strawberry Prince's Jel).
