Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2 has been green-lit for production. This news was confirmed at a special event held at the TFT Hall 1000 in Tokyo, Japan, with a teaser visual. The visual has been shared on the anime's official site. However, no information on the sequel's release date has been shared.
Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2 serves as a sequel to the previous installment, which aired 12 episodes from April 2022 to June 2022. The series is an adaptation of the dark fantasy light novel series of the same name by Ennki Hakari (author) and KeG (illustrator).

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the official staff held a special event called the 10th Anniversary Memorial Fest! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering SP ~Night Dream Fest~ at the TFT Hall 1000 in Tokyo, Japan. During the event, the staff unveiled a teaser visual to confirm the production of Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2.
Simultaneously, the anime's official website shared pertinent information with fans. The illustration features the main hero, Arc, and Ponta, in all their glory, accompanied by a tagline in Japanese that reads "I'm Back..." in English.
To commemorate the production of Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2, a comment from the original author, Ennki Hakari, was shared. Ennki-san expressed excitement upon hearing the news of the sequel's production. Moreover, the author conveyed gratitude to fans who supported the novels.
Aside from Ennki Hakari, celebratory visuals were provided by light novel artist KeG and manga adaptation illustrator Akira Sawano. KeG's illustration features Glenys, Ponta, Arc, and others celebrating the sequel's announcement. Likewise, Akira Sawano's drawn picture depicts the main cast.
According to the latest announcement, KeG has been credited as the character designer for Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2. More details concerning the sequel will be announced in the future.
The previous installment premiered on April 7, 2022, on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and other networks in Japan. Crunchyroll streamed the series globally as it aired in Japan. The anime starred Tomoaki Maeno as Arc, Ai Fairouz as Glenys Ariane, Nene Hieda as Ponta, Ryota Takuechi as Goemon, Rumi Ookubo as Eevin, and others.
Katsumi Ono directed the dark fantasy anime through a joint production by Studio KAI and Hornets, with Hideki Inoue and Toru Imanishi serving as character designers. Eba composed the music while Takeshi Kikuchi supervised the series composition.
Based on Ennki Hakari's narrative, the anime follows a man who is transported to a game he was playing as the in-game character, Arc. Since he has chosen a skeleton avatar for his character, Arc tries to stay inconspicuous. However, his heroic spirit propels him to get involved in social reform activities.
