On January 1, 2025, the official YouTube channel of Pony Canyon, a production company, released the announcement trailer for Solo Camping for Two anime. The trailer not only announced the main staff members and voice cast but also confirmed that the anime will be released in the Summer Anime 2025 season (July-September).
Solo Camping for Two anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Yudai Debata. The manga started its serialization in October 2018 and is currently ongoing, with 19 volumes in publication (only in Japanese). The manga series has also inspired a TV drama.

The trailer then saw the protagonist professionally camping in the middle of the woods by setting up his tent and making food when, out of nowhere, he encountered the female protagonist.
These two then enjoyed their time together. The trailer ended with the reveal of the series' main voice cast and staff members, alongside its release window in Summer 2025 (July-September 2025). The series will be animated by the animation studio SynergySP (the animation studio for series like Couple of Cuckoos, A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics, and Taisho Otome Fairy Tale).
The main voice cast for Solo Camping for Two anime includes Gen Kinokura, voiced by Daiki Hamano (Katana Devil from Chainsaw Man and Valtos from Black Clover) and Shizuku Kusano by Mizuki Nizaki (a relatively new voice actor).

Solo Camping for Two anime is a slice-of-life series centered around the camping veteran Gen Kinokura. As a professional, Gen cherishes his solitude and prefers going solo camping everywhere. However, one day, he encounters Shizuku Kusano, a camping amateur.
Looking at her, the protagonist feels the need to help her learn about the world of camping. So, these two embark on a solo camping journey where the male protagonist teaches the female protagonist everything she needs to know about 'solo camping.'
