The Solo Leveling -Reawakening- anime film began streaming a new trailer on Monday, October 21, 2024, and also revealed a new key visual for the project. The new trailer primarily focuses on recapping scenes from protagonist Sung Jinwoo’s adventures seen in the first season of the television anime series.
The Solo Leveling -Reawakening- anime film is a compilation film for the anime’s first season, as well as a preview of the first two episodes of the upcoming second season. The trailer also seemingly revealed the titles of the first two episodes of the second season, which itself is officially titled -Arise from the Shadow-.

As mentioned above, the new trailer for the Solo Leveling -Reawakening- anime film begins with a focus on Sung Jinwoo’s season 1 adventures. The major beats are shown, such as his initial death and subsequent revival, the major points in the first season where he grows as a fighter/person, and his unique skills.
The trailer then briefly pauses while revealing the titles of the second season’s first two episodes. Season 2 episode 1 will be titled You aren’t E-rank, are You, while season 2 episode 2 will be titled I suppose You aren’t Aware. The trailer uses this exact casing when revealing the two episodes’ titles.
The trailer for the Solo Leveling -Reawakening- anime film showed new footage from the second season, introducing new characters and monsters alike. Sung Jinwoo was also in action for a majority of this closing focus of the trailer, setting him up to fight what appear to be strong fighters. The trailer ended by reconfirming the November 29 release date in Japanese theaters. The film will then hit select North American theaters on Friday, December 6, 2024.
The second season of the Solo Leveling television anime series is set to begin airing in Japan in January 2025. A full release date has yet to be revealed for the second season as of this article’s writing. Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally as it airs weekly in Japan, as it did in the first season. It’s unknown if Crunchyroll will stream the Solo Leveling -Reawakening- anime film at any point.

“It’s been over a decade since the sudden appearance of the “gates”—the paths that connect our world with a different dimension. Since then, certain humans have awakened to supernatural powers. We call these individuals “hunters.” Hunters make their living by using their powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates. In this world of tough customers, the low-ranked hunter Jinwoo Sung is known as “the weakest hunter of all mankind.” One day, Jinwoo gets fatally injured when he runs into high-rank double dungeons hidden within a low-rank dungeon.
