On Monday, September 16, 2024, Aniplex Online Fest announced that Solo Leveling season 2 anime is scheduled for January 2025. To commemorate the broadcast, the anime is set to release a movie called Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, worldwide, starting with Japan and Korea in November 2024.
Solo Leveling is a South Korean portal fantasy story, originally written by Chugong as a web novel and later given a webtoon adaptation by Jang Sung-rak. Following its worldwide popularity, animation studio A-1 Pictures gave the series an anime adaptation in Winter 2024, with a second season planned for Winter 2025.

According to the announcement made through Aniplex Online Fest, Solo Leveling season 2 is scheduled for January 2025. The second season is going to be titled Solo Leveling season 2 -Arise from the Shadow.
This announcement was made with a key visual that shows series protagonist Sung Jin-Woo overlooking Igris and his other Shadows. While it cannot be confirmed yet, it seems like the character designs for the second season are going to be much more refined.
To commemorate the broadcast of the anime's second season, the series is set to release a movie called 'Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-'. The film is set to feature a recap of the series' first season and episodes 1 and 2 of the second season. This movie will allow fans to recollect the events from the first season and witness an early screening of the first two episodes from the second season.
The film will be screened in theaters worldwide, starting with Japan and South Korea. Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- will be released on November 29 in Japan and November 28 in South Korea. What is Solo Leveling anime about?
The anime's first season saw the weakest E-Rank Hunter Sung Jin-Woo acquire the mysterious System that allowed him to become the only Hunter capable of leveling up. The System saw Sung Jin-Woo complete a daily quest, and failing to complete it saw him partake in a penalty.
After he leveled up a bit, Jin-Woo was offered a job-change quest. This quest saw him enter a castle and fight Igris, the Bloodred Knight Commander, and an unending horde of monsters. As a completion reward, he received the title "Shadow Monarch." This title saw him gain the ability to bring the dead back to life as his "shadow army."
Elsewhere, the story saw the S-Rank Hunters make a horrifying discovery about the infamous Jeju Island as its monsters began evolving.
