On Friday, June 21, 2024, Warner Bros. Japan unveiled the opening theme video for Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime. With that, the anime unveiled additional super-villains and their voice cast members. The anime also revealed the synopsis for the anime's first episode.

Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime will premiere on June 27, 2024, releasing its first three episodes together on Hulu and Max. Following that, the anime will release one episode weekly on Thursdays with its 10th episode set to be streamed on August 15, 2024.


Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime unveils its opening theme video

Nearly a week before the premiere of Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime on Thursday, June 27, 2024, Warner Bros. Japan unveiled the opening theme video for the television series.

The opening theme video features the anime's opening theme song "Another World," performed by Tomoyasu Hotei. As for the theme video, Takuji Miyamoto from WIT Studio was responsible for its direction, storyboarding, and animation direction.

As for the opening theme video, it gave fans glimpses of the anime's characters including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, King Shark, Enchantress, Thinker, Rick Flag, Katana, Fione, and the Joker. In addition, the theme video also hinted at the antagonist as they had a tamed dragon with them.

Upon revealing some new characters through the anime's opening theme video, the anime unveiled all of them alongside their voice cast members.

Yoji Ueda will voice Ratcatcher. Former rat exterminator, Ratcatcher claims to be an old friend of Deadshot from prison days. Yoji Ueda has previously voiced Oetsu Mimaiya in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Geese Nukadia in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

Hochu Ohtsuka will voice Thinker. He is a brilliant but mad scientist carrying a huge ego. He can enhance his abilities and manipulate minds by wearing his "Thinking Cap." Hochu Ohtsuka previously voiced Sato in Ajin and Ziggy in Edens Zero.

Shizuka Ito will voice Enchantress. She is an ancient witch with great magical powers, who inhabits the body of a woman named June Moone. Shizuka Ito has previously voiced Yayoi Kunizuka in Psycho-Pass and Akeno Himejima in High School DxD.

Lastly, Taro Kiuchi will voice Killer Croc, a crocodile-like human with enhanced strength. He conquers the underwater realm with super speed and power. Taro Kiuchi previously voiced Dante in The Case Study of Vanitas and Oliver Martin in AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline.


Suicide Squad ISEKAI Episode 1 synopsis

Suicide Squad ISEKAI Episode 1 will see Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., assemble a group of supervillains, namely Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark, for a mission in an otherworldly realm, ISEKAI. Upon arriving in the world of swords and magic, the "Suicide Squad" happens to go on a rampage, that sees them get sent to prison by the Kingdom.

Unfortunately, the group only has 72 hours before the bombs attached to their necks explode. Hence, they negotiate with Queen Aldora and come to an agreement that sees them take on the hostile Imperial army. With no choice but to throw themselves head-first into the battle, the "Suicide Squad" embarks on a jaw-dropping adventure.
