The official staff of the Summer Pockets anime held a Prologue Party livestream on Sunday, September 15, 2024, where they unveiled the first promotional video, additional cast, theme songs, and the main visual for the upcoming anime. The series is slated to premiere in 2025.

Produced by Studio Feel, Summer Pockets anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous visual novel by Visual Arts/Key and Prototype. The game was originally released for PC in June 2018, and later a Nintendo Switch version was launched in June 2019 in both physical and digital format.

The official website and X account for the Summer Pockets anime shared the first trailer on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The PV was first revealed at the show's Prologue Party livestream, held on the same date.

The short trailer depicts the scenic Torishirojima island, where Hairi Takahara, a high school student, arrives during his summer break. Aside from the main characters, the PV highlights the anime's scenery and serene animation. Moreover, the trailer confirms the anime's 2025 release window.

Besides the promotional video, information regarding the anime's theme songs has been revealed. Konomi Suzuki, who has performed the original visual novel's theme songs, sings the opening theme, ALKA TALE, and the ending theme, Lasting Moment.

The main visual has also been unveiled. The illustration features the main heroines, Shiroha Naruse, Kamome Kushima, Ao Sorakado, and Tsumugi Wenders, with the ocean in the background.

Moreover, the staff has revealed new cast members for the series. Saku Ichimiya stars as Miki Nomura, while Aimi Tanaka plays the role of Umi Kato. Sahomi Koyama voices Shizuku Mizuori, while Megumi Takamoto stars as Kyoko Misaki.

Minoru Shiraishi lends his voice to Kobato Naruse, while Konomi Suzuki plays Inari. Kentaro Kumagai features in the series as Ryoichi Mitani. Yohei Hamada has also joined the voice cast as Tenzen Kano.

Tomoki Kobayashi directs the anime at Studio Feel, with Keiichiro Ochi supervising the series scripts. The music composition team includes Shinji Orito, Jun Maeda, Ryo Mizutsuki, Shuhei Ohashi, Tomohiro Takeshita, and Donmaru. Mai Otsuka has been credited as the character designer, while Ryosuke Naya serves as the sound director.

Based on the visual novel, Summer Pockets anime centers around Hairi Takahara, a high school student, who goes to the Torishirojima island during the summer break to sort out the belongings of his grandmother. Hairi's worldview changes as he meets several people on the island.
