Teogonia anime announces 2025 premiere and main cast with PV

Teogonia anime is all set to premiere in 2025, as confirmed by the anime's official staff via a promotional video. The main cast and staff for the Seinen anime have also been unveiled in the announcement.

Teogonia anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous Japanese light novel series written by Tsukasa Tanimai and illustrated by Kouichiro Kawano.

Tsukasa-san initially launched the novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website before Shufu to Seikatsu Sha acquired the publishing rights. The light novels have also inspired a manga adaptation with Shunsuke Aoyama's illustrations.

Teogonia anime's first trailer confirms the 2025 release

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the official website and X handle for the Teogonia anime shared the first promotional video to announce that the title will be released in 2025.

The short video gives fans a glimpse of the Isekai fantasy anime's setting, characters, and plot, and previews the ending theme song, The Moon, Me, and My New Self, by STU48. Additionally, the PV highlights the two major characters, Kai and Jose.

The main cast members for the Teogonia anime are also revealed. Mutsumi Tamura, known for being the voice actor of Kobayashi from Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon, stars as Kai, while Kana Hanazawa, renowned for playing Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer, voices Josee.

Character descriptions for Kai and Jose have been revealed on the anime's official website. Kai is described as a boy, who somehow manages to survive the constant battles against the demi-humans. Gradually, he acquires new powers to go against his enemies.

Jose, on the other hand, is described as the only daughter of the Lagu village's lord. She seeks isolation to work on becoming stronger and fight for the village's sake. As the narrative progresses, she learns about Kai, and they both begin training together. Jose also possesses the power of the local God.

Staff and the plot for the Teogonia anime

Kunihiro Mori directs the Teogonia anime at the Asahi Production, with Tomoyasu Ookubo as the series composer and supervisor. Kouichiro Kawano, the original character illustrator of the light novel series, serves as the character designer for the anime. Kenji Fujisawa is enlisted as the music composer.

Based on Tsukasa Tanimai's Isekai fantasy series, the anime is set in a time of warfare, where human beings are in a relentless tussle with the demi-human tribes like Macaque and the Ogres.

Kai, a young boy, spends his time immersed in battle against those tribes to protect his village. Interestingly, he acquires unimaginable powers to help his cause. As such, the anime chronicles the struggles and growth of a boy, who wants to save his loved ones.
