On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, it was announced that Iwatobineko's manga The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife is set to receive a television anime adaptation, which will to premiere in 2025. This was announced by the anime's new official website with a teaser visual.

The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife, written and illustrated by Iwatobineko was first launched on X in 2021. Later that year, the manga began its serialization on the pixiv Comic and Comic Natalie services. As of November 2024, Futabasha has published six compiled manga volumes of the series.

On Wednesday, November 27, Iwatobineko's The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife manga launched its website announcing its anime adaptation. The announcement was made with a teaser visual that featured its protagonists Yakou Shizuka and Tounome.

Tounome could be seen embracing Yakou Shizuka from behind while she could be seen blushing at his expression of love.

The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife anime is set to premiere in 2025. Unfortunately, the anime has yet to reveal any other details other than the release window and teaser visual.

Manga creator releases comment and special illustration

While the anime hasn't revealed any other information other than its 2025 release window and teaser visual, the manga creator Iwatobineko released a commemorative special illustration and comment.

The special illustration shows Yakou Shizuka seemingly surprising Tounome with a hug. Her legs are off the ground while Tounome himself can be seen to be a bit off balance.

As for the commemorative comment, Iwatobineko expressed that they were grateful for their work to finally receive an anime adaptation. As cliche as it may sound, they never expected this to happen to their work. The manga creator thanked the fans and their support throughout the years.

That said, the manga creator was too happy and wanted to impose the same feeling onto their readers. With that, the manga creator expressed that they wanted everyone to watch the anime as soon as possible.

What is The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife about?

The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife is a story about Yakou Shizuka and Tounome, both of whom work at a detective agency. Tounome owns the company and is quite a gentleman. However, he also has an extra talent - he is invisible.

While this talent comes in handy for his work, it does not work on Yakou who is blind. Charmed by Yakou, Tounome is determined to date her. Thus, the manga depicts a cute office romance story.
