On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the official website of Tokyo Ghoul anime's 10th anniversary ended its countdown, revealing its long-awaited announcement. The anime is set to conduct an art exhibition called Tokyo Ghoul Exposition. The exhibition will first take place in Tokyo and Osaka.

Tokyo Ghoul anime was released back in September 2014. Thus, with the anime set to celebrate its 10th anniversary, it hinted at future projects. The anime tried hyping up one such project with a countdown. This countdown has now ended, announcing the anime's upcoming art exhibition.

Tokyo Ghoul Exposition set to start in October 2024

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Tokyo Ghoul unveiled its art exhibition to celebrate the anime's 10th anniversary. This exhibition is set to be called the "Tokyo Ghoul Exposition." The announcement was made with a key visual that featured the anime's protagonist Kaneki Ken, Touka Kirishima and Rize Kamishiro.

As for the art exhibition, the anime announced that it would take place from October 21 to December 1, 2024, in Tokyo. Following that, the art exhibition will move to Osaka and will be present there from December 14 to 29, 2024. For now, the anime has only announced the ticket details for the Tokyo event.

According to the website, the Tokyo Ghoul Exposition will help fans immerse themselves into the beautiful and sad world of the anime in a three-dimensional exhibition and interactive experience. Other than that, no information on what fans can expect from the exhibition has been unveiled till now.

How fans reacted to the art exhibition announcement

Fans were truly disappointed by this announcement as they were hoping for Studio Pierrot to announce a remake of the anime. As fans might know, all the anime's seasons, except for the first one were heavily criticized by fans. Thus, fans believed that Studio Pierrot was set to remake the anime. Unfortunately, they got baited.

"This actually ruined my week," one fan said.
"RIP to all the people that thought this announcement was gonna be for a remake (me fr)," another said.

The fact that infuriated fans the most was that the anime did a countdown for an exhibition news. Fans did not believe that an art exhibition announcement deserved a countdown.

Even before the announcement was made, fans had begun discussing how disappointing it would be if the anime were to tease them with several visuals and countdowns only for the series to launch a game. Unfortunately, the actual announcement happened to be even less exciting than a prospective video game.

"This guys just really made a countdown for a exhibition event where in they can just announce it right away," another fan said.
"An exhibition ? All that promo for nothing," another added.
"congrats on getting baited again , time to wait another year lmao," other fan said.

Following the announcement, some fans even tried to rub salt in the wounds of others by expressing how they may need to wait another year before the anime announces anything new. With that, all fans of the anime agreed that the series had baited them very hard.
