On Wednesday, August 14, the official website for The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal anime series officially confirmed its October 2024 release date via a new PV. The website began streaming the latest promotional video on Wednesday, which also revealed the staff and the opening theme, which was also previewed in the video itself.
The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal anime series also unveiled a new key visual alongside the release of the promotional video. Key staff and the main cast were previously announced, as was the ending theme song for the series. The series will serve as a direct sequel to 2022’s The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup anime.
The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal anime set to officially release on October 3, 2024
As mentioned above, The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup Semifinal anime’s latest promotional video confirmed its Thursday, October 3, 2024 premiere in Japan. The series will air on Japanese television starting on TV Tokyo at 12 AM, followed by an airing on Aichi Television at 1:30 AM and on TV Osaka at 1:35 AM.
The newly announced staff for the series includes Yoshinobu Tokumoto directing the anime series at M.S.C studios, with Akiharu Ishii designing the characters for the anime. Mitsutaka Hirota is handling series composition, while Chihiro Tamaki is composing the music for the series. Additional staff includes:

The group is made up of members of the anime’s German team, including Ryotaro Okiayu, Kentaro Tone, and Mitsuki Saiga who play Kunimitsu Tezuka, Jürgen Borisovich Volk, and Q・P, respectively.
Returning cast for the World Cup series as a whole includes Junko Minagawa as Ryoma Echizen, Ryotaro Okiayu as Kunimitsu Tezuka, Hiroki Yasumoto as Hoo Byodoin, Junichi Suwabe as Keigo Atobe, Sachiko Nagai as Seiichi Yukimura, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kuranosuke Shiraishi, Tarusuke Shingaki as Eishiro Kite, and Mamoru Miyano as Ryoga Echizen.
