The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc serves as an original anime, supervised by Negi Haruba, the series' author. The official staff announced the project at the series' 5th-anniversary in Yokohama Arena on April 28 this year. The project centers around Futaro Uesagi and the Nakano sisters' honeymoon trip to Hawaii.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, Pony Canyon shared the first trailer and a new visual for The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc anime. The company also revealed that the anime's English title is The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2.
The original anime project will be screened in Japan for three weeks starting September 20, 2024, before its TV broadcast. Information regarding the television broadcast will be revealed later.
Notably, the latest trailer showcases numerous scenes from the movie and features the protagonist, Futaro Uesagi, and the five Nakano sisters. They are seen enjoying the vibrant beach of Hawaii. The 36-second-long video depicts their unfiltered joy and growth as adults.
Aside from Pony Canyon, the rom-com anime's official X handle has shared the PV with fans. The short clip confirms that the movie will have a limited screening in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Other than the PV, the staff has unveiled the main visual for The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc anime. The illustration captures the joyful expressions of the Nakano sisters set against the bright Hawaiian sky and sea.

The rom-com anime features a returning cast, with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka reprising his role as Futaro Uesagi, Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano, Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano, Miku Ito as Niku Nakano, Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano, and Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano.
Masato Jinbo is in charge of the direction and scripts at Bibury Animation Studio, with Masato Katsumata designing the characters. Negi Haruba is collaborating with Masato-san on the scripts. Natsumi Tabuchi, Hanae Nakamura, and Miki Sakurai are composing the music.
The voice actors for the Nakano sisters have performed the anime's opening theme song, Gotobun no Egao (Quintuplets Smile), and the ending theme, Memories.
