On Monday, July 15, 2024, Pony Canyon shared a visual announcing that The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc anime will be released in Japanese theatres on September 20, 2024. The anime will be screened for a limited time of three weeks before its TV broadcast. However, the staff didn't reveal the exact broadcast date.

The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc is an original anime project supervised by Mangaka Negi Haruba. The project was announced at the series' fifth anniversary in Yokohama Arena on April 28, 2024. According to the staff, the anime centers around Futaro Uesugi and the quintuplets' honeymoon trip to Hawaii.


The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc gets advanced screening at theatres from September 20, 2024

On Monday, July 15, 2024, the official staff, including Pony Canyon, announced that The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon Arc anime, based on Negi Haruba's original concept, will be screened in Japanese theatres starting September 20, 2024, for three weeks. After that, the anime will be broadcast on local TV channels.

However, the staff didn't specify the exact broadcast dates and timings for the rom-com anime. That said, the official website and X account for the series shared a teaser visual for The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon arc. The illustration depicts the five Nakano sisters wearing bright Muumuus and spending a delightful time on the Hawaiian shores.

Additionally, the staff revealed the theme songs for the series. The opening theme, Gotobun no Egao or Quintuplets Smile, and the ending theme, Memories, are performed by the Nakano sisters, Yotsuba (VA: Ayane Sakura), Miku (VA: Miku Ito), Nino (VA: Ayana Taketatsu), Itsuki (VA: Inori Minase), and Ichika (VA: Kana Hanazawa).

Details regarding the show's main staff have also been disclosed. Masato Jinbo, who previously directed The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Movie, returns to direct the original anime at Bibury Animation Studios.

Masato-san is also in charge of the series scripts with Negi Haruba. Besides them, Masato Katsumata returns to the franchise as the character designer. Natsumi Tabuchi, Miki Sakurai, and Hanae Nakamura are the music composers, while Mutsumi Takemiya is enlisted as the editor.


About The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon arc

Based on Negi Haruba's original concept, the narrative for The Quintessential Quintuplets: Honeymoon arc follows Futaro Uesagi and the Nakano sisters, who plan a trip to Hawaii. Interestingly, the trip serves as their honeymoon.

While the preparations for the trip go smoothly, an unexpected event leads them into trouble in Hawaii. As such, it's up to Futaro to find a way out of chaos. The anime will likely showcase the loving chemistry between Futaro and the Nakano sisters with a touch of intrigue.
