The staff unveiled a new key visual and revealed details regarding the additional cast members.
The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest anime is based on the eponymous Japanese light novel series by author Ibarakino and illustrator Yu Hitaki. Kodansha has been publishing light novels since 2020. The series also has a manga adaptation with illustrations from Morohoshi Fuji, which is serialized on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website.

The official staff for The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest anime announced on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, that the anime will begin its broadcast on January 9, 2025, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA channels in Japan. At the same time, the first promotional video has been revealed.
The trailer features Ein, who struggles after his party members abandon him for being weak, unbeknownst to his actual qualities. However, everything changes when he meets Yuri, who provides him comfort and a reason to push along. Ein realizes his actual capabilities and continues with his dream of becoming a hero.
Besides Yuri and Ein, the trailer features Ursula, the Great Sage, who teaches him the ways to become stronger. The short clip includes many action scenes and gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from the series.
Aside from the PV, the staff has released a new key visual for The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest anime, featuring Ein, Ursula, Yuri, Pina, and other new characters.
At the same time, new cast members are announced. Minami Tsuda has joined the voice cast as Kurohime, while Kana Ichinose voices Alice. They will be joined by Aimi, who plays the role of Akabane.
The new key visual features these newly announced characters. The anime stars Kikunosuke Toya as Ein, Yuu Serizawa as Pina, Hikaru Tono as Yuri, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Ursula.
Kenta Onishi directs the fantasy anime at Okuruto Noboru, with Tatsuya Sasaki as the assistant director and Doko Machida as the series composer. Sayuri Sakimoto is credited as the character designer, while Satoshi Takano and Karin Nakano are the music composers. Nozomi Nakatani is enlisted as the sound director, with Daisuke Negishi as the art director and Nasa Okamura as the director of photography.
Based on Ibarakino's light novel series, the narrative for The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest anime is set in a world, where jobs are God-given from birth. Therefore, heroes are born, not made. Ein, who wants to become a hero, unfortunately, has the job of an appraiser.
Abandoned by his party and abused by everyone around him, Ein slowly loses hope of becoming a hero, until one day, he meets Yuri, the Spirit of the World Tree, and Ursula, the Great Sage, who rekindle his dream. Ein realizes his "weak" skills could be the key to becoming the hero he always aspired to be.
