Author Ibarakino's action-fantasy light novel series, The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest has been green-lit for anime adaptation, as confirmed by the show's staff on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, via a visual. According to the announcement, the anime is set to release in 2025.

Ibarakino-sensei launched The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest novels on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019. Following that, Kodansha acquired the rights and began publishing the light novels with Hitaki's illustrations in September 2020. Notably, the novel series has a manga adaptation, with Fuji's illustrations.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a new website and X (formerly Twitter) account were opened to announce that Ibarakino's The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest novels will be made into television anime in 2025.

The official website has also shared a teaser visual, featuring Ein, Yuri, and Ursula, the guardian of the Spirits. Although the anime's staff revealed that the show would be released in 2025, a narrower release date hasn't been disclosed.

Along with the anime adaptation's announcement, the staff mentioned that the third volume of the light novel series will be released on July 2, 2024, while the 12th volume of the manga adaptation will hit the stores on July 9, 2024.

Interestingly, the X account for The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest anime shared a comment from the original author, Ibarakino, where the author thanked the manga adaptation artist Fuji Morohoshi and everyone involved in the franchise. The author also asked the fans to look forward to the action fantasy anime.

A celebratory illustration from the manga adaptation's illustrator, Fuji, and another from Hitaki Yuu, the illustrator of the original light novel series, have been released. Fuji-san's celebratory drawing depicts Ein and Yuri, while Hitaki's illustration showcases Ein and an important character from the series.

Unfortunately, the pertinent details such as the cast, staff, and production studio haven't been revealed yet. As such, fans will have to wait for further official updates from the anime's staff.

The narrative for Ibarakino's action fantasy light novel series, The Unfavorable Job "Appraiser" Is Actually the Strongest, is set in a fantasy world, where "jobs" are given at one's birth. In other words, in this unique world, heroes are born, not made.

Ein, a young boy's job as an "Appraiser" has made things difficult for him to become a hero. Due to the nature of his job, Ein faces dejection and abuse from fellow adventurers. Gradually, he loses hope. However, one day, Ein realizes the value of his "worthless" job, and how it can be the key to him becoming a hero.
