The Water Magician anime announced for July 2025 with PV and visual

On Friday, January 10, 2025, the official staff unveiled a teaser promotional video and a visual to announce the production of The Water Magician anime. According to the latest information, the Isekai anime is set to premiere in July 2025. Additionally, the details regarding the show's main cast and staff have arrived.

The Water Magician anime serves as an adaptation of author Tadashi Kudo and illustrator Nokito's Isekai light novel series of the same name. The series was originally serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website as a web novel.

Later, TO Books acquired the rights and began publishing the novels under the TO Bunko imprint in March 2021. The series also has a manga adaptation on the Nico Nico Seiga website with Bokutengo's illustrations.

The Water Magician anime's PV and visual confirm the July 2025 premiere date

On Friday, January 10, 2025, a new website and X account were opened to share a promotional video and visual for The Water Magician anime. According to the short clip, the series is set to be released in July 2025, i.e., in summer 2025, on TBS and its affiliated channels in Japan.

The promotional video gives fans a glimpse into the fantastical world of Phi, where Ryo is reincarnated as a Water Magician. With his newfound powers to wield water, Ryo embarks on an adventure. Besides Ryo, the trailer features Sera, the elf adventurer, and Abel, the swordsman.

The teaser trailer, with its eye-catching background art and visuals, nicely sets up the hype surrounding the series. Additionally, the PV reveals the voice cast for Ryo, Sera, and Abel. Ayumu Murase stars as Ryo, while Kazuki Ura voices Abel. Kaede Hondo lends her voice to Sera.

Besides the teaser promotional video, the official staff has unveiled a visual for The Water Magician anime. The illustration features Ryo in a forest, bending water to his will, showcasing his aptitude for water in his reincarnated life.

Moreover, the official website for The Water Magician anime has shared a comment from the author, Tadashi Kudo. The author has expressed their gratitude to fans who supported the series. Additionally, Kudo-san has urged fans to look forward to the anime.

Staff and the plot for The Water Magician anime

Hideyuki Satake, who has previously worked in Delicious in Dungeon as an episode director, now directs the titular Isekai anime at Typhoon Graphics and Wonderland. Jun Kumagai has joined the staff as the series composer and scriptwriter. Yuka Kozutsumi is enlisted as the character designer. Additionally, the anime's website has credited Bakutengo for the novel's manga adaptation.

Based on Tadashi Kudo's narrative, The Water Magician anime follows Ryo, who is reincarnated into Phi, a fantastical world filled with magic and beasts. Ryo is thrilled to live a quiet life with his new water magic. However, his peaceful life is soon disrupted by the deadly animals.

As such, Ryo confronts his new challenge and takes on the wild beasts to survive in the remote land. Interestingly, the boy is blessed with a hidden skill, Eternal Youth. Thus, twenty years pass in the blink of an eye, and yet Ryo remains the same.

However, the experiences he has built throughout those years push him to reach the pinnacle of human magic. Yet, circumstances convince Ryo that his journey has only started.
